Im on the east coast celebrating my sisters birthday, but I'm down in NC, so when I got the call from my mom talking about a gtown letter I had to make sure it wasn't a view book or anything. Then she opens it (why she hadn't already is beyond me) and starts reading the CONGRATULATIONS and I jizzed in the bank i was in.

I'm so grateful right now, having only applied to six schools and having a splitter URM I've had no idea how my cycle would be. Knowing I'm already in one of the schools I want to go to takes an enormous weight off my shoulder.

Last complete date was 12/5 and 12/2 before that, you can check my posts for my other updates. Rachel, that means you should be hearing soon. Don't know if they also sent a letter to my CA address, and I'll call my mom later to have her let me know when the letter was postmarked. No interview.

wow..........why did they mail it to your perm. address?? did your current address expire?

Maybe it's an assumption that most people with a different permanent address will be going home for Christmas?

FWIW, I was accepted end of November and my letter was also sent to my permanent address.

Congrats - but I have a feeling that GULC is only the tip of the iceberg for you!

Yes there is a different weekend. There's also an ASW at the end of March I believe. It states the other date in your letter of acceptance.

Just to come back with an update. My letter was sent 12/5 and I had a brief note apparently mentioning my DS. Glad to know that, wasn't sure if I was effective or not in conveying my message but thankfully it appears I was.

Thank you all again for the support and congratulations, I appreciate it and hope to hear about all of your future successes.

I'm not sure if it has already been posted, but this is off of GULC's website and tells alumni interviewers about the interview program. I found it helpful in gauging my expectations.

Good find! That was an interesting perspective, confirming a lot of the speculation in this thread.
