Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
My status has disappeared. It doesn't say "complete", "under review", etc. I gave an interview almost a week ago.
Can i assume that the decision is in the mail?

One of my LOR writers received a thank you email from admissions. Anyone else get one? Looks like they did this last year as well. Probably means nothing. Also, I group interviewed earlier this week and I'm still at 12/1. Anyone else?

Did we ever come to a consensus about what it means if you were interviewed individually vs. in a group? Does one bode better than the other?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
IN TODAY. Weirdly enough, they mailed the letter to my perm. Address in new jersey. Im on the east coast celebrating my sisters birthday, but I'm down in NC, so when I got the call from my mom talking about a gtown letter I had to make sure it wasn't a view book or anything. Then she opens it (why she hadn't already is beyond me) and starts reading the CONGRATULATIONS and I jizzed in the bank i was in.
I'm so grateful right now, having only applied to six schools and having a splitter URM I've had no idea how my cycle would be. Knowing I'm already in one of the schools I want to go to takes an enormous weight off my shoulder.
Last complete date was 12/5 and 12/2 before that, you can check my posts for my other updates. Rachel, that means you should be hearing soon. Don't know if they also sent a letter to my CA address, and I'll call my mom later to have her let me know when the letter was postmarked. No interview.

ALSO IN TODAY!
The acceptance letter came in this tiny little envelope, I was so scared, thought it would be a waitlist or reject for sure. Last (4th) update was 12/5, submitted around 11/10. Super excited, best of luck to everyone still waiting!

What is this madness? New update as of today.
12/01, 12/07, and now 12/09. Quick, speculate.

I'm gonna stand by my word: the status checker is a crapshoot. Mine NEVER even changed from "application complete", and I rec'd my acceptance a week and a half ago. So I wouldn't obsess over changes. But then again, that's just my opinion from my experience...seahawk32 wrote:What is this madness? New update as of today.

No one's has changed after application complete and people have been getting acceptances pretty consistently after 3-4 updates. Not totally useless.AS33 wrote:I'm gonna stand by my word: the status checker is a crapshoot. Mine NEVER even changed from "application complete", and I rec'd my acceptance a week and a half ago. They also sent mine to my permeable address. My address changed on the status checker on my last complete date.hyakku wrote:IN TODAY. Weirdly enough, they mailed the letter to my perm. Do they have a different admitted students weekend or is this it? I live in DC and want to go, but I don't really want to take days off...
ETA: Do you think we can go for just part of it? It would be easier to just take an afternoon off..

This is the "early preview" event (I don't remember the exact wording), it isn't the big ASW. I'm sure you can just go to part of it - day 2 after lunch seems to only be optional events, so I'd imagine it is pretty lax.freestallion wrote:Do they have a different admitted students weekend or is this it? Barring an ED acceptance, I'll probably be there. I'm begging for an excuse to get back to DC, even if it is for 2 days .
