Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll still be able to get a fee waiver after I kill the October LSAT, as my current 165 is too low for me to be able to ask for one.

Yep. It only took about a day for them to get back to me, though.arez wrote:was it solicited?No13baby wrote:Checking in! Got my fee waiver last week.

Do you think it'd be stupid to go ahead and send my application off with only 1 LOR? I have a few more that have been pending for like 2 months (I thought I explained to my recommenders pretty clearly I needed them by September ) that I'm gonna wait and include for the schools that require two, but I have one pretty stellar one (I've read it) already ready to go. I'm a tad below their LSAT median, but well above their GPA.

I don't think you can submit GULC until October 1st anyway, unless i'm mistaken about that...Real Madrid wrote:Do you think it'd be stupid to go ahead and send my application off with only 1 LOR? It just opened today (unless you're talking about being unable to actually submit the fillable application).sanetruth wrote:I don't think you can submit GULC until October 1st anyway, unless i'm mistaken about that...Real Madrid wrote:Do you think it'd be stupid to go ahead and send my application off with only 1 LOR? Holy crap.
In the "optional essays" section, there's this gem:
Prepare a one-minute video that says something about you. Upload it to an easily accessible website and provide us the URL. (If you are using YouTube, we strongly suggest that you make your video unlisted so it will not appear in any of YouTube's public spaces.) What you do or say is entirely up to you. Please note that we are unable to watch videos that come in any form other than a URL link.

Haha, I am really shocked by this. law schools are usually so conservative, not so... with the times.Yeshia90 wrote:Holy crap.

So is this "G250" a new thing? Or has it always been offered? If so, any word on whether its a plus if you do one? The questions seem kind of random...

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
It says they're totally optional and adcomms won't think less of you if you don't write one. I'm not quite good enough to call GULC a safety, but I expect to get in there...don't know if it'll be worth it.sanetruth wrote:So is this "G250" a new thing? Or has it always been offered? Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
So is it generally expected to write a "Why Georgetown" or other optional essays or no?
From what I've gathered it seems YHSCCN don't require any, MVP is a strongly suggested, as well as Northwestern and Duke. Not sure about Georgetown though.
