I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I'm just wondering what GULC chances are for me. It's definitely my top choice (applying ED obviously). My GPA is a 3.64 and I have one bad lsat score. I retook in October and I'm still waiting on that. I think my reasonable expectation range for that goes from high 150s to mid 160s. I have legacy at Georgetown generally but not at the law school. My stepdad went to UG and med school there and donates frequently but not a library or anything. I'm not a URM, but my background has some overcoming adversity qualities (public assistance, domestic violence). I'm also thinking about writing a Jesuit style PS, since I go to an Jesuit university now. I guess my questions come down to:

1) Does legacy matter at all?
2) Are Jesuit appeals a plus?
3) Any ideas of my chances?

Not sure about the first two, though my guess would be no, but to the third question, you will probably not get in unless you hit median on the LSAT.

My status checker updated to 10/13. What do that mean? Why won't they just accept us? Gah!

Mine actually changed a couple of times and is now stuck on the 13th. Hope to hear from them soon!!!! I haven't heard back from any school yet so it would be a relief. :)

I plan to submit an addendum as part of my Georgetown application; it does not qualify as a diversity statement and is not an optional response 250. There is no addendum attachment option. What is the best method of appending an addendum in this case?

How long did it take you all to get a status checker? I submitted on Oct 3rd and haven't even got one yet

I applied last year and got an acceptance 4 weeks later (applied regular decision). Good luck all.

I don't know if this is good or bad, but my status checker has not once 'updated' since it went complete on 10/6. And I submitted 10/1. Hrm...

Submitted ED 10/1, status was "Application Completed" as of at least 10/12, date changed on 10/14 and now 10/18 but status stayed the same (I've been a little compulsive about checking). I imagine the date changes each time they change something internally? So I'm guessing decisions are more or less made, but they're working through as many apps as they can before releasing any. But who knows, they could just be messing with our heads.

https://admissions.law.georgetown.edu/Y ... logon.aspx

edit: woops, can't access the status check directly. in the link below, click on 'JD status Check' under 'JD Admissions.'
