Solicited fee waiver? I remember people getting them from G-Town over the summer through soliciting, so I'll probably just email them on Monday.freestallion wrote:Submitted, with fee waiver, no optional essays/video (hah!) ^__^

To those of you who have submitted (or already know what you plan to do), have you written an optional essay? I don't really want to write on any of their topics, but I'm worried about how genuine they are when they say they won't hold it against you if you don't write one.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
My application is complete, yay!
I don't think Georgetown will hold it against you. I don't think they do yield protect as much as other schools, which you can see by taking a look at their LSN graph. Do you have LSAT/GPA combo that is higher than medians? If so, I wouldn't bother. If you're a borderline candidate or unsure of your chances, it may be worth a shot if you have something good/interesting to say.crooked wrote:To those of you who have submitted (or already know what you plan to do), have you written an optional essay? Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I'm a splitter (LSAT above 75%, GPA below 25%), but I have good WE, and based on LSN I should be in OK shape. I'm not unwilling to write an essay (I wrote "why x" for most schools); I just wasn't drawn to any of the prompts and I didn't want to write a generic answer that would do nothing for my application.

I sent my app in on October 1 and am not complete yet at GULC. Is this normal? Cornell took all of a day to go complete.

I was reading last year's thread for Georgetown and noticed all the status check updates as people were supposedly being reviewed.
Just wanted to post that I submitted Saturday 10/1, went from incomplete to complete on Monday, 10/3, and until today the status checker said Current Status Date 10/3. Today it changed to Current Status Date 10/6.
