I got an email from Andy Cornblatt on Friday saying the admitted students website would be opening on Monday December 12. I have tried it today and it says that the website is currently closed. Anyone else try it?

Now past 2 weeks since my interview request. Would I be remiss to call?

FWIW, I plan to email admissions in the next couple days if I hit two weeks without a notification.EMZE wrote:Now past 2 weeks since my interview request. Would I be remiss to call?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Just had my interview with my alumnus. He was very nice. Like others have said, it was very informal, much more like a conversation than an interview. He gave me some great advice about choosing a school and finding a job afterwards. Honestly it was very, very helpful from my end. My nervousness and anxiety from the past few days was completely unjustified.

For those worried about not hearing back RE: your interviews, I emailed Lindsey about this and she replied a few days ago with this message:
Hopefully that's helpful!Thank you for following up. We do not need any further information from you - you are currently matched with an alum for an interview. Here is how the process works: once you are matched with an interviewer, we notify the alum. If we have not heard back after one week, we send the alum a reminder. If we have not heard back after one more week, we will re-match you with an alum who is hopefully more available at this time. Especially during the holiday season and with the end of the year approaching, it is typical that you might not hear from an alum right away.
Thank you for your patience throughout this process, and please let me know if there is anything else I may assist you with.
Best,
Lindsey

That's very helpful! I guess I'll wait until a little bit after the two week mark to give them time for a reassigned alum to contact me.crumpetsandtea wrote:For those worried about not hearing back RE: your interviews, I emailed Lindsey about this and she replied a few days ago with this message:

Hey guys,
My interview is scheduled for next week, and I was wondering if anyone had any insight into appropriate dress. Is business casual ok? Shirt and tie? Do I need to go with a full suit? This is taking place at a NYC law firm, for what that's worth.
Thanks!

I'd say suit and tie since 1) better to over dress than under and 2) their firm may dress that way in which case you want to matchcerealdan wrote:Hey guys,

Yeah, if it's at a firm, I would err on the side of suit.stellarEINS wrote:I'd say suit and tie since 1) better to over dress than under and 2) their firm may dress that way in which case you want to matchcerealdan wrote:Hey guys,

ASW is up. For first time log-in, you put in your name and email address and an automated username and password are emailed to you. My problem is the username and password I receive do not work.
Part of the email says:
At your request we have attached the username and password you may use to access the Admitted Students Website (http://www.law.georgetown.edu/admissions/admitted/):
Not sure what this means? Would I still receive this email if I was not in?

Out of curiosity, which of the supplementary prompts did other admitted students pick?

Maybe I'm not in; I'm just surprised that it would send me a username and password if that were the case.
