Yes. I had a group interview and was admitted about 4-5 days after it.nutella123 wrote:Have people who have had group interviews gotten in?StevefromNY wrote:Anyone who had their group interview today wanna share their experiences? I had an alumni interview also -- my interviewer seemed like a really nice, laid back guy, but he was also VERY interested in what I had to say about his "Why Georgetown?" question. Even after I answered it he asked me to expand upon my answer in more depth. Overall seemed happy with what I had to say, though.snehpets wrote:Mine said he didn't have mine either. Maybe they just told him to be kind of aggressive with any late(ish) applicant? Or perhaps he was just the type. Some people said theirs were really chill and cool, so perhaps mine was an anomaly?westinghouse60 wrote:Hmm, sounds pretty different than Vandy's, my interviewer hadn't even seen my application. Seems like everyone's is different but mine was kind if intense. Looking at your numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if yours was the same. Not so much hard questions but they really seemed to be trying to pin down my level of commitment to gtown. Normal question, I guess, but awkward.

I have no idea if my interviewer had my app or not. She was cool though, very relaxed/laid back. Standard "Why law"/"Why Georgetown"/"What can I tell you about Georgetown" sort of interview. She went there for undergrad as well, so she was very, very informative for the questions I did have. Good times.Elendil wrote:I had an alumni interview also -- my interviewer seemed like a really nice, laid back guy, but he was also VERY interested in what I had to say about his "Why Georgetown?" question. Of course, that was a couple of weeks ago and I haven't heard back yet. Oh well. Tis the season!

I think i had the same interviewer. Nice woman, went to Georgetown for undergrad, etc. I also waited for a couple weeks before getting my acceptance.
Hang in there. I'm sure it's on the way.

I did a week or so back. I live in DC so I didn't have anything to lose and I ended up having a great time. I'm not sure if the interview helped but I am excited about Georgetown and know I'll have some hard decisions to make in the next few months.nutella123 wrote:Have people who have had group interviews gotten in?StevefromNY wrote:Anyone who had their group interview today wanna share their experiences? Well, looking at your #'s, I really don't think that is going to happen! I suppose already being in at NYU has to make things just a little easier toosnehpets wrote:Status checker STILL totally blank. Wish they would just wait list/reject me already.

Haha yeah, sorry for being a whiny brat. I'm definitely really happy about NYU. I just figure since it's been so long since my interview they're probably going to waitlist me like they did a lot of other people that interviewed around my time/had similar numbers, so they might as well go ahead and do it.cogitoergosum wrote:Well, looking at your #'s, I really don't think that is going to happen! No worries, I know the feeling... the LS admissions process is.... I don't know... emotionally taxing.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
A little late but I got my acceptance letter about 2 weeks ago. Was a very nice surprise. My dad got the mail and since he doesn't read TLS, he saw the envelope first and immediately assumed it was a rejection letter, even told my mom that I didn't get in before giving it to me. I knew right away that it was most likely good news since it was about wedding invitation size haha. Very happy and stoked, had a handwritten note referencing my interview so that was nice. I've applied to lots of other schools but I think Georgetown is the one for me since I want to practice international law. I hope everyone else waiting gets good news soon!

GULC doesn't give out money until after financial aid is filed, so we won't hear until March/April.catmo wrote:So has anyone heard about money yet?

I had an alum interview recently. I just checked my status, and it has changed. Now my status box says:
Term: Fall
Year: 2012
Program Time: Full-time
Degree: JD
Did this happen to anyone else? Does this mean a decision has been reached?

To be honest I'm only 85% sure that it changed... It is currently identical to what nyc73 posted, but I can't say for sure that it was different before or what it said...Flappy Scribbleneck wrote:Status updated todaycogitoergosum wrote:Yeah, mine did that a week or so ago, interview a week or two before that, went complete again today (I think that might be 5 completes).. still no ASW password.nyc73 wrote:I had an alum interview recently.
