I think everyone on this thread should have been accepted. We all seem to be an awesome group. If you were rejected, don't lose hope at a t 14. Michigan and GULC has come through for quite a few people. If you were deferred or WLed, I still have faith. If we are smart enough to be on TLS, we deserve to get into a great law school :-)

It'll take a while. I'd expect to hear back around the first week of February

Does anyone know where the popular places are for law students to live near Cornell?

So, whats the consensus of LOCI for deferals? Cornell EA my first and Columbia ED my second, are these things I should be working hard on, as I am not really a wait list? I know others have said that they can never hurt, and I have personally felt confident that I would absolutely do one since, why the hell not.

I imagine if i do submit one for said schools, and whatever other future wait lists I am awaiting, I should do it closer to the proposed review dates (March/April?!), since I want to show continued interest, not just knee jerk essays, and that it will assist in maintaining correspondence with admissions committees?

Yes yes? (Vonnegut reference, +1 on your next LSAT writing sample to the first that gets it)

I was hoping to find discussion of the scholarship application essay, and perhaps even examples of successful ones, on TLS but was unsuccessful. If this is because of a limitation in my searching skills, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction. If no such information currently exists on TLS, I am hoping that Cornell Dean's Scholarship recipients (or anyone else with relevant knowledge) will take this opportunity to come out of the woodwork to share advice and/or sample essays.

Thanks!

I'm moving this question over here, since there isn't much action in the financial aid forum.

Thanks!

Does Cornell get back to EA deferrals in March/April? The Cornell EA deferred thread from 2 years ago depresses me

Went "Complete" again today. I think that's three completes for me: 1/3, 12/22, and one other before that I can't recall. 167/3.6/RD here so I'm thinking a WL/Reject is headed my way! Here's to hoping the next round of decisions are good ones!

I wouldn't assume that based on your complete dates or waiting time -- I'm above both 75ths and have the same dates (1/3, 12/22, etc.) Best of luck!
