And the town of Ithaca was so much more pleasant than I expected (and green-friendly!). Long story short, if you haven't had a chance to visit, highly recommend it.
Is there a convenient way to get there from NYC?

And sorry for all the Reserves.

When I was there someone spoke of a bus that went directly from Manhattan to campus. Don't remember what it was called/if you already have to be a student to take it though.

And I second Elendil's statement. I didn't even mind that it snowed 30 separate times throughout the two days I visited.

Aren't most of the UC schools more expensive?

Nope, non-resident tuition at Boalt is "only" 54k, Cornell is 55k.

No. I'm prepping for a retake. If they let me in great. I'm more concerned about whether I should just withdraw before they make a decision in case I do get in and then withdraw... You're dead set on going this year?

Yeah this year for sure. Cornell's my top choice so this wait is excruciating. Doesn't help that the schools I've gotten into all pretty much took a massive hit in the 2013 rankings either (i.e. BU, WUSTL, DAVIS)...

Wow, that's an expensive bus! You could rent a car for 2 days for half that amount.

I go there now and there's definitely a bus that's round trip for 80, it's called short line I think (unless they increased the prices recently)

I don't think any of them took much of a hit in Firm Review rankings though. So it's not a big deal. I just think with a 3.7 if I can even gain a few points on my 167 it'll get me in other places or some money at Cornell. (Fingers crossed)

I think someone called earlier and found out that scholarship info for the lay people ( those who aren't being considered for the Dean's award) will hear at this end of this month into the first week of April.

+1, that's an absurd amount to pay. Just take Megabus up there. You'll need to transfer at some point, but will end up paying half as much.

Yeah I understood that it's Reserve, not Waitlist. So I'm pretty stoked to agree to a third list to be on that essentially says "you are good, but we think we can do better...". Ugh.
