In on a Sunday night!
PT, 172, 3.9x - excited for my first acceptance! Also, I did not write a Why Duke or any optional essay.

I got a big envelope from Duke in the mail... just a viewbook. Nothing game changing. I only just applied last week though. Huge reach but hopefully get in.

Perhaps the recent few Priority Reserves just show the advantage of applying early?

If you applied RIGHT NOW it would still be considered early. Before Halloween is super early. There has to be some other kind of explanation.JamMasterJ wrote:it's still supposedly early though80eight wrote:Perhaps the recent few Priority Reserves just show the advantage of applying early?

I dunno, man. Pre-October, pretty much everyone was accepted, regardless of stats.FryBreadPower wrote:If you applied RIGHT NOW it would still be considered early. Before Halloween is super early. Re: Duke c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
There may be a super small advantage to applying Pre-October to in October. But, I can't imagine there is a large enough people applying in Pre-October to make the advantage all that large. At the end of the day, LSN kids are going to be the most religious kids when it comes to getting apps in early (relative to people not on LSN); and even then, there aren't that many Pre-October kids on LSN.Yeshia90 wrote:I dunno, man. That being said, I am just as "in the dark" as anyone else. Any guess I have to make is totally grounded in anything but factual evidence.

I've been ready for review for over 2 weeks. My numbers are only at median though. From the looks of LSN they're reviewing the people with higher numbers first and making decisions there.

I think it's priority track that's getting the early reviews. Have there been any non-PTers that have been reviewed yet?sandwiches5000 wrote:I've been ready for review for over 2 weeks. Yes, I have been under review since 11/7, and I am a huge reach... 161, 4.11, NA. I am waiting anxiously for a decision... Hoping it will come soon? Any thoughts on a chance in heck of getting in?JamMasterJ wrote:I think it's priority track that's getting the early reviews.
