I got the acceptance e-mail today (very surprised). My status checker says "Decision made; watch for email".

Got my JD-LLM scholarship offer today; while I am certainly happy to get a good chunk at such a highly-rated school, the offer is far lower than what I was hoping for and what it wold cost me to attend schools at almost the same ranking. Not counting the LLM, it would cost me more than twice as much in tuition alone to go to Duke. Counting the LLM, it would be more than three times as much.

Looks like I can't offer much in terms of our bargain. Total amount offered: $0.

Duke was never at the top of my list of schools, and this, of course, doesn't help.

First UR was 2/22. No movement since. Anyone else in the same boat?

Is scholarship information given out via e-mail or snail mail? And how long is it (for those who have gotten scholarship information) usually from the time you send your form to them until you find out?

dinged via snail mail today. it was one of the nicer rejection letters, though. good luck to all of you still waiting!

about 3 weeks after the form via snail mail. status checker should indicate when letter is sent out. should arrive a couple days latter.

+1

Got mine today (finally... it came while I was out of town). I actually got $$! Take that, law school predictor's big red DENY :D

Looks pretty likely I'll be going here. Better make up my mind pretty soon since the summer-starter deposit date is 4/2 and it's semi-binding.

FWIW, it was postmarked the same day the status checker said it was sent.

ETA: the deposit isn't truly binding, but the form that goes with it requires you to certify that you've withdrawn from all law schools to which you've been accepted. You could still take an admit off a waitlist but you can't take an increased scholarship from a school that accepted you in January.

I submitted my financial aid forms back on 2/23 I believe, and according to the status checker they haven't sent a letter yet. They said originally that any students submitting before 3/1 would be notified of awards no later than 3/16, so I'm wondering at this point if I'm either going to get an update tomorrow or am just not getting a scholarship offer.

Same here. They acknowledged receipt of my fin aid forms on Feb 22 and no 'letter sent' notification on status checker yet. I'm debating whether to email them today or wait until tomorrow (3/16).

I sent them an email this afternoon but due to the time difference where live they were probably already closed. I pretty much asked if the March 16th date is still when we will hear. The thing that sucks though, at this point we probably won't hear until Tuesday or Wednesday if they still send decisions through snail mail tomorrow.

i sent a slightly annoyed email just now, asked whether i should still expect to receive their decision by tomorrow and attached my Feb 22 email from them saying that I would receive my decision by March 16th. maybe they're lagging on status checker updates and our decisions are in the mail?

I sure hope so. First deposit date (UVA) is only 3 weeks away.

Nada for me. Been on PR for a little over a month. I mailed them a LOCI right after I was waitlisted and I'm debating whether to add one of my other rec letters to the file- I'm just afraid it'll slow them down again at this point.

Duke admissions were my fave with the whole 10-day priority track thing but that has really backfired and now they look like they're gonna be the last school to get back to me.

Well, I wouldn't sweat it. You have obviously gotten into Chicago,NYU, and I imagine you will get Harvard as well. Don't toy with Duk'es heart ;-)

Haha more to it than that for me. I've spent the past week reading by the pool in the Carolinas, and in general I'm just undecided about whether I want the big city transition (at least yet).

Basically I have no idea what I want yet, and I'd like to have a Southern option to consider.

I hear you. Then again, I think you can go just about anywhere with a UChicago degree

no response. their admissions office replies within an hour when i email them but nothing from fin aid. no update on status checker either. i rushed like crazy to get our taxes done by mid-february, in order to complete my need access application, and i would have appreciated a timely response for those of us who submitted our forms well before the march deadline...sigh

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
