Also a Blue Devils fan. Always wanted to play under coach K, but being within a few miles of him at any given time will just have to suffice.

This is why going to Duke would be terrible for me. I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't go to every basketball game, and there's no way in hell I'd get all my work done if I did that.

On the fence about applying to Duke. How much money are they likely to give?

I feel like the biggest Benedict Arnold by wanting to go to Duke instead of UNC, but I guess shit happens right?

I had a great experience with the Duke Admissions office and PT. They were amazing when I messed up parts of my application. I highly recommend going for PT, it's amazing to have an acceptance at a great school early on :)

New medians out for Duke:

GPA 25/75 percentiles: 3.62/3.84
Median GPA: 3.75
LSAT 25/75 percentiles: 167/171
Median LSAT: 170

From the priority track website.

Just a slight drop then in the 25th percentiles.

Did it seem to imply that we could apply now via priority track? I registered and was all excited, but I still don't get an app to come up on LSAC.

So what exactly does this priority track indicate? Substantially higher chance of acceptance? Also should I be writing a "Why Duke" essay to avoid being yield protected?

Uhh I think it just means that they think your numbers are strong/competitive. Some people who applied last year did get waitlisted (and maybe a couple rejected? Not sure), so if you want to increase your chances of getting in then I would definitely recommend a Why Duke.

:( I didn't get a waiver, though my numbers are above their medians. Can we request a priority track invite?

Maybe its based on having one significantly higher than their 75th or something to make the 10 day decision thing manageable? Seems most in this thread have LSATs at 173+, so that may be their floor. Is there even an easy way for them to search via our GPAs? I got fee waivers before mine went complete due to missing transcripts... I am wondering if the determining factor is actually just LSAT.

Hm, I do have a 173. Anyway, if I don't get priority track I probably won't be applying.

Yeah, I don't know if they can search GPAs easily so it is probably based on the LSAT!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
