There will also be some more acceptances and rejections outside of the first review. Then the committee will announce decisions around the 3rd week of February (by the 17th this year). It's not anything certain but at least most of us will have a decision (whether good or bad) within a month. :)

How am I supposed to know if I'm under faculty review? I just have Under Review dated 10/27?

I dont think there is a way to know for sure, but the website says faculty review is the second stage of the process if you didn't get admitted or rejected in the 'administrative review'.....one would think those of us under review this long have progressed to that stage

Last year, those who went to the first round of faculty review received this email:

Dear Mr. X,

I write to inform you that your application at UC Berkeley Law School has passed an initial administrative review and has been selected for further consideration by the Faculty Admissions Committee. The Committee will begin deliberation on your application on January 28. We anticipate a final decision will be reached on or around February 18.

Thank you for your patience!

Edward Tom
Dean of Admissions

Reverse splitter >25% LSAT, <75% GPA
What about you? I've heard Berkeley is one of the most forgiving when it comes to lower LSAT numbers but I'm getting super anxious about my chances...

It's funny because I also went under review on this date for two other schools. And there's a small batch of survivors in those threads as well. The date shall forever be ingrained in my memory. If we go down, I couldn't have asked for more agreeable company.

i apologize if this has already been asked and answered on this thread... but does anyone know what the acceptance/waitlist/rejection statistics are for those sent to faculty review?

I have similar similar numbers, and I initially only applied to Berkeley as my reach school, thinking the same thing. I do have strong softs and only weak point in my application was my LSAT. Although UVA and NU were better choice for me, after looking at LSN and Law school predictor I thought I never get in, so I wasn't going to apply. However, both schools sent me fee waiver and I applied...
I got accepted to both UVA and NU despite my low LSAT, and got rejected from Berkeley. I got accepted to numerous other top 20-30 schools with $$ and Berkeley has been my only ding so far. I just found out that Berkeley's median on LSN is 173/3.81, so the mystery is solved I guess:)
Anyway, hope you have applied to other T14 schools that you are interested in. But if you are good fit at Berkeley I'm sure they will admit you:)

Reverse splitter - 163/4.0

The Berkeley numbers will come down. It's early. Once we get URMs, and other people with decent numbers (3.6+/164-170 LSATs) and strong softs, the numbers will fall.

I'm also still stuck on 10/27. Frustrated.
