It seems like there are Friday schools and there are Monday schools... I think Berkeley is a Monday school

Do you think we will hear any news since it is is a holiday? Or is the admissions office open?

Good question. They probably aren't even open.

Reading the faculty review thread from a few years ago. Seems like they notified people of FR in early January - has anybody gotten an e-mail regarding FR? Thanks.

All offices are shut that day. I tried scheduling advising hours for my major too but everything is closed on Monday.

Reach school. (3.6/165 URM)

However, I feel that if the Niners win today, then it must be a sign that Berkeley will admit me and I will be in the Bay Area.

Good luck to those still waiting.

Update: And they did! Maybe it's a sign!

I'm taking it as a sign of a future admit in a couple weeks/months.

11/22 without any sympathy.

Though, your applicant group is probably due for a heavy push soon. I'll sympathize afterward. As long as they accept me. Otherwise, I'll just commiserate.

\If there is for serious a group of 10/27 people still hanging on, that's just a crime against humanity.

I wouldn't say that. The whole rolling admissions process doesn't mean that decision go out in order submitted, or necessarily even have to loosely follow that. They typically do, but this site advocates applying day 1, and people who apply earlier have a better shot but also a longer wait.

And actually, I can sympathize for those with a UR after me, because I am currently finding some solace in convincing myself I am slated for that whole committee review deal.

Based off years past, we can expect to see some kind of committee review e-mail indicating that some of our applications are being sent there. Check out last years thread for around our current timeframe, theres more information and consequent anxiety attacks on the topic of those in a long wait. If your numbers are iffy but you have strong softs, of if your numbers are just right and your softs aren't substantive, and you applied a while ago, that might be what you are looking at. It is what I am hoping for instead just a straight ding.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
