Who knows, though, maybe you'll have a pleasant surprise in October!
Oh, I'll retake if needed. I have three schools on my radar. NU is my reach. I have a T30 that places well here that is my target, and I'd consider the local TTT if the money is right. It'd have to be VERY right though. They place okay where I want to live, but the money isn't as good.

If I don't get in to NU, get $$ at the T30 school, or $$$$ at the local school, I'm waiting another year.
I like your plan. ^_^

Does anyone know how important the interview process is? I have a couple years of work experience and my numbers are 173/3.8ish. The deal is I'm about a three hours drive away from even the closest off-campus interview and it's a little hard for me to take time off at my job, so I was debating whether or not I should go through the effort to request one.

I got in without an interview, but I was in the Peace Corps and 24 hours via train from the closest interview site. I'm pretty sure that many people travel three or more hours to their interviews- if you can swing it, I'd try it. You can possibly get one on the weekend, also.

Some of Johann's twitter and G+ posts imply that he personally places some emphasis on whether a person puts in a lot of effort to get in. Take that FWIW, but I'd try to get one if possible at all.

I got in without an interview also, and did not have as good a reason as Eugenie. I think my lack of an interview is one of the reasons I ended up held and on the wait list. Most people I have met here interviewed, and the school likes to emphasize that part of the admissions process is the interview. I know several people who flew from the east coast to NU to interview on campus so a three hour drive doesn't seem that bad.

lol. Gotta entertain myself somehow over this interminable deferral year. If I get to Chicago and meet up with a handful of pre-made internet friends, hopefully the transition back to school will be easier (I am technically an old, though it's hard to tell by looking at/talking to me since I look 24 and am mentally twelve.) :P

Wait....if that would describe me at enrollment does that make me an old??? where has my life gone??
guess I'll just throw this into the "LSAT motivation" pile for Saturday...

Haha relax guys. I'm 24 and definitely one of the youngest in the class.

Oh, I'm 32 (and will be 33 when I get to NU). I just look 24. I definitely inherited both my parents' babyfaces.

Haha yeah, I wasn't really that concerned. I'll only have an early life crisis if this cycle doesn't turn out at all :P
But yeah, an older class really seems to be the norm at NU from what I've seen, which is interesting. The only student I know there started after I think five years of WE. Seems like you really have to be on top of everything when you're stacking up against people who aren't just now starting their lives. Could be a plus overall though...probably leads to interesting discussions that might not arise if everyone were right out of undergrad.

ETA: haha! sorry Rink....my internet sarcasm switch must be off

So anyone have any last minute LSAT tips that can get me over the 170 mark? I know they say not to study right before, but I'm feeling desperate. I know what I did wrong, but knowing what you did wrong won't get you into NU!

Is it the 24 part or the 12 part that caught your attention?

The problem with asking questions: people answer them sometimes. Let's move past this and discuss your interests.

Did anyone notice there is a 19 year old in the class this year? I have no clue who this person is but i was kind of shocked.
