Yea, there's no money left. Emailed and called, and Jill over in financial aid was very nice, but let me know that it's sticker from here on out. 80k/yr x3 = too much money for a law school education, I'll be withdrawing soon I think.

Yup, spoke to the lovely Jill as well and this has made my decision for me. Real shame :(

The regular deadline has passed; I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that they're giving new admits a deadline based on their admit date.

So now that Monday's over and the "new" admit deposit deadline has passed is it likely to see movement this week for us waitlist folks?

I would assume this Friday at the earliest, next Friday at the latest.

It won't be tomorrow. They're apparently closed tomorrow and monday because of the NATO summit

It's been too quiet. Anybody think there will be Waitlist movement this week?

Maybe. They're probably still catching up from having the offices closed for NATO.

Accepted in off the wait-list today via email.

Wish I hadn't just signed a lease 2 days ago. How do I get out of that?

Thought I had a decent shot with NU what with interviewing and all the opportunities they give you for essays, etc., but getting moved to the waitlist from hold is just sad. I had written addendums explaining the low GPA and talked about it in my interview too.

Work experience. I think in general the chances of getting off of any given waitlist are pretty slim. You are on enough waitlists that your odds go up but I would say you will more likely than not be at WUSTL.

Just got in via e-mail! :D So excited! Good luck to the rest of you!

Can someone please hook a brother up with some apartment/condo information? I wish I knew Chicago better, I've been there 20 times and still get lost.

Let me clarify... what neighborhoods should I be considering that are close enough to the law school?

Thanks man. I heard that Streetville/Gold Coast is the closest. Are the other 3 walkable?

Not really. I live in East Lake View. Take a bus to school every day. It's an express bus down lake shore. Usually 20 mins or so from door to door. It's cheaper up here if you're living by yourself and want some decent space. If you have a roommate, you can live in Streeterville for an affordable price and walk to class every day. Living farther is only inconvenient during finals crunch time when you're at school late. Other than that, it was totally fine.

River North?

All my hotpads favorites are in River North, Gold Coast, and the southern end of Lincoln Park (as well as one a couple blocks south of campus). Am I doing it right?

Yeah, those are fine I think. Depends how far north or west. There are buses that run along Chicago and Michigan that you can take. I'd just run it through google maps to look for the commute route. Also you could probably bike when it's nice enough.

they all are within 15 minutes via CTA. Are these all nice areas? I mean, I know Gold Coast is pretty, but I'm unfamiliar with the rest
