I got some moniez and was expecting 0 monies. So I am ecstatic!!! This changes so so much. Also, you guys all seem pretty cool and to be honest, that's a major factor for me in choosing between schools.crumpetsandtea wrote:Did Johann give you lots of moniez???kennethellenparcell wrote:Dear NU, I love you.

Congrats to everyone who received something.
On a more self-absorbed note, has anyone else not gotten an email who was kind of expecting some aid?

Just received an email with decision letter... I was held.
Considering I have limited work experience (aka I'm a senior in college), I was expecting a ding right off the bat, and so I'm not as disappointed as I thought I would be. What are the chances of a person coming off of "hold" status? What are the best ways to improve my chances from this position?

Have you done an interview? They said that was important for those of us still in undergrad to show maturity and whatnot.Miss_Sunshine wrote:Just received an email with decision letter... I was held.

Thanks mmk33, I know that they said decisions would be rolling out, but if I remember right, Chicago went from most money to least and I'm hoping I'm not in the least category with NU. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think NU is doing it this way - we've heard people ITT and in the admitted students thread who have gotten anywhere from 45K to 150K today. They seem to be doing it completely randomly. Don't worry!!larsoner wrote:if I remember right, Chicago went from most money to least and I'm hoping I'm not in the least category with NU. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

My opinion of Chicago and NU went up by around 5000% after visiting.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
