The ones that are on the supplemental aid application.

Pretty sure there were optional essays specifically for held applicants. Something about your 'perfect day' or 'if you could have dinner with one person'.

Wait, what? I'm on hold and was just going to send a LOCI and update my application. I don't think I've seen specific essays for held applicants. We didn't get the supplemental aid application. Best to just answer one of the additional essays on the application if we haven't already done so? :?:

it's in the FAQ linked from the decision letter

NU law twitter said a batch of JD decisions are coming out this after. I am wondering whether anyone has heard anything yet?

Today has been weirdly lacking in decision-related posts, considering the tweet that came out. Have most TLSers heard back already?

Hi everyone-

My status has been updated but I can't retrieve my letter... Did those who were admitted receive an email letting them know they were in? Also, any tips on how to get my letter? I enter my information into the 'letter retrieval page' and come to a page I've never seen before, but does not contain a decision of any sort.

Thanks! I am freaking out a little bit!

I had the same problem. Usually you can't access your letter for a few hours after the status checker is updated. Usually you'll get an email with the decision first.

I don't think that's true. AFAIK, the hold is like a waitlist lite. I assume they'll release some hold decisions well before then.

Love that you called it a waitlist lite. My fear is that my hold will end up being a waitlist.

That's the most likely outcome, iirc.

I was thinking about this earlier but they could be using the ED program as a litmus test. If you have CCN or even MVP-bound numbers and you did not ED to NU you might be considered a lost cause to admissions. If you're not even willing to commit to NU with a full ride what point is there in admitting you? So I think holds with strong numbers are destined for the waitlist. Its unfortunate because things happened too fast when I was applying for me to be willing to commit to one school.

I can almost guarantee that they are not doing this. Most applicants don't think about things in the crazy way that TLS does. A surprising amount of people value choice pretty highly and would not ED anywhere, they aren't going to hold it against them.

I got in to NU (and also H and CCN), and did not even write a "Why NU?" or anything so I'm not sure this is true either
