Also held, K-JD. It's kind of hard to force myself to spend the money on a $300+ plane ticket to interview when the chances of getting off this hold-list are probably tiny.

Totally agree. I got held at NYU in December and this was my first "decision" of the cycle. Maybe you could send them a nice LOCI with some additional reasons for wanting to go to NU?

Eh, I have UVA. UVA will cost me less money factoring in COL.

Got my email, which led me to the decision letter site, which led me to see that I am HELD.

Ugh, Northwestern. I thought my off-campus interview had gone well too. Damn. I guess you can't win them all.

I feel the same way but I thought hey might as well see chicago while I'm at it? But really, it would be a waste of 300$ to go do an interview that probably won't help us. Blah

With the quality numbers being held, I'm assuming WL or outright ding this week. Oh well.

Held. I applied whatever day the application came out (early september). I didn't do an interview either since I wasn't even planning on applying until they sent the fee waiver.

K-JDs could always try offering to defer.

Really good point. Thank you. Also going to write those essays from the Hold FAQs. I'm actually excited to write about those questions.

?

This is unreal to me given your numbers. I'm sorry.

On the bright side, I bet you have a ton of other awesome schools.

Held. Fairly devastated. Would likely attend over entirely free (plus 10k scholly) at Michigan.

My application screams "work experience." :(

Thanks for the support. I've applied to 10 and have heard back from IU-B: Accepted, NU: Waitlisted, and Duke PT: Priority Reserve.
I've been surprised about a couple of the decisions but I have optimism that one of these top schools will bite.

Best of luck too with your cycle!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO KRING!! ): This makes me sad too!!! You should write a LOCI, it seems like some of the holds are purely YP moves. If you told them about your preference for NU > Mich, that would help I think!!!

This is such a crazy day. Since I didn't get held today, I wonder if I am going to get straight dinged in the next few weeks.
