Look at the OP: there's a list of questions there that you can prepare for. Curry and I made a google doc and wrote out our answers in paragraph/complete sentence format for every question listed on the OP. We didn't try and memorize the answers or anything, but it forced us to think ahead of time about questions they would ask and gave us good, well-thought-out responses to all of them.

TBH though my interview was more like a conversation than a series of questions. We started off by talking about my study abroad experiences (she had studied abroad in the same country, so we talked a lot about the culture there and our favorite cities) and then moved into my WE and then finally my grades (so, expect questions about weaknesses in your app, if you have any).

Good luck to all!

I have my off campus alum interview in two weeks. What kinds of questions did she ask you? Stuff specifically about NU?

My off-campus was super laid-back. She started off by saying that she thought the NU-supplied questions were "lame" and the whole thing turned into a conversation about the school with very few evaluative questions. I tried to work in some of my prepared answers at the beginning, but the feel of the interview quickly made that feel unnecessary. I brought a resume but she had printed mine off from the email I sent to her. By the end, I had basically gotten her whole life story, which mirrored mine quite a bit so it was actually useful, but it wasn't AT ALL what I had expected. Couldn't imagine a nicer lady to interview with, though. Fantastic experience.

OH and she kept going on about how much the legal economy is improving and that we shouldn't believe the horror stories people post, especially if we go to a T20 school. That reassured me quite a bit as well, since she is very involved with hiring new associates for her firm.

After weeks of paranoid e-mail/status checker/TLS checking, I just got that nice "Happy Thanksgiving" gobble gobble email from NU. It made me chuckle and put things into perspective. Thank you Northwestern, I like you more and more each day.

For real. Especially since I have to "turn images on" before I could see the actual content.

Seriously, though, it's great we had pie day and a whole Tgiving dinner from the SBA on Monday :-)

Aw, I like the happy holiday love from NU. It was cute.

Would have been even better with an acceptance email, though.

It's not sent to applicants - it just goes to you if you sign up on the NU web site to receive newsletters. : )

I didn't sign up for that either. Maybe it's the emails for people who did interviews? Because I think I put my email on the interview signin sheet they gave us.

This is weird. I received the holiday email last year, months before I applied. I'm already complete this year and I got nothing... Considering I got the email and didn't get in last year, I think an empty inbox is a good thing....

I got the thanksgiving email and I haven't applied, done an interview, or signed up for their news letter. I did get a fee waiver though.
