I called them and they weren't really clear
I think they are purposefully vague. I would include any FT WE that occurred while you weren't in school. Let them nitpick if they want, but I'm guessing that for the sake of their WE stats, they won't.

For those of you who have already applied, how long did it take to hear back from NU about receiving your application? I submitted on 10/26 and don't have any email yet, and I'm getting nervous.

I applied on 10/30 and they sent me the status checker email the next day.
Maybe give them one more day and then call to see what's up if still nothing...

I submitted on 10-27 and went complete on 10-31. FWIW, my status checker showed my addendum missing, so I called then emailed them about it the same day and they fixed it that afternoon. I would call and see, they are very helpful.

Nearly a month for me. I think it takes longer for ED applicants.

I applied ED and mine went complete in four days. I think they just waited until recently to start processing.

Okay, I called them and they said I'm complete, but for some reason I just didn't receive the e-mail, so they'll be sending it over today or tomorrow. PHEW. I was nervous that something happened to my app :P

Is there a step after complete but before a decision, like "Under Review?" If so is anyone UR? I'm still just complete and I submitted in late Sept..

Applied day one ED. My status checker just says complete but it also has a blurb on the top which states: "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee."

Underline added by me.

Just FYI, the admiss. officer I spoke to said they don't even start looking at apps until ~Nov 15th, but after they start it's in order of when they received it. So I don't think decisions are coming out yet. If you look at this graph in the OP, you'll see decisions don't come out for another month, regardless of ED/RD status.

10-11 cycle they said they did 8 week turnaround and it started early December (meaning that the first responses were supposed to be late Jan, iirc). That being said they didn't hold to the 8 week policy for everyone and also "deferred" people to give themselves more time.

Last year I got a decision Jan 7, and I'm almost positive that I was in the 2nd batch that went out.

Just went back and checked last year's thread. ED decisions (all of them?) went out Dec 16. First RD decisions went out Dec 17. Second batch of RD wasn't until Jan 7, and it was like three of us on TLS.

One nice thing is that Johann tweeted a warning on days that decisions were going out, and then tweeted when that day's batch was done. It helped deal with the suspense somewhat.

The holidays help. A little.

Could be worse, you could be waiting for USC. They didn't even bother to waitlist me until April!

I'm not sure the interviewers have the same number every day. I also don't even what number mine was.

Random.

Advice: don't try to creep on your interviewer.

Using admisionquestion's (http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/m ... le&u=67390) method, I've been able to data mine the following information from LSN related to applicants who applied from day one to 11/2 in this cycle and compare it to last year's cycle:

2010-2011 Data:

Median LSAT: 170
Mean LSAT: 169.06
Median GPA: 3.66 (very different from NU's published 3.8 Median)
Mean GPA: 3.601

2011-2012 Data:

Median LSAT: 170
Mean LSAT: 169.59
Median GPA: 3.75
Mean GPA: 3.649

2010-2011 Sample Size: 81
2011-2012 Sample Size: 89

I thought this might be interesting to future hopeful NUers. Looks like the new ED policy might have attracted more LSN data points (very different from data pulled from NYU's and Cornell's LSN which showed pretty drastic decreases in sample size, 25% and 46% respectively).
