You know what they say: if library science doesn't work out there's always law school. Up to and including full rides at Northwestern.

Once a librarian, always a librarian.

Yep, discovered this shirt first, while looking at dinosaur comics gear. Figured a comic with a shirt this awesome has to be good. Turns out it is! I don't keep up as well with my webcomics anymore now that I work in a cubicle with foot traffic in a stodgy office. TLS is a lot less obviously non-work than webcomics are.

Weird, I was just talking to my brother, who is a proto-failed librarian, and he is considering law school.

For some reason I read this and saw "libertarian" despite being primed by an entire page of discussion and images about people who work in libraries.

He is actually that to. He is flirting way too much with being pro-Ron Paul

My train of thought was pretty much "what do I do with an English degree?.....library school.....i like books...." And then realized it has nothing to do with books. Nothing. And somehow I ended up here.
Oh man you are going to hate law school.

I strongly disagree. If you weren't to make assumptions you'd be paralyzed by indecision based on lack of actionable information. Your mind makes millions of assumptions a day.

Fwiw, the northwestern law librarians are awesome sauce.

And hang in there, folks-this time next year you'll be writing you were waiting for news instead of taking finals.

And sorry for lack of pics...had a surprise visit from the lady friend last night and posting pics of my app on tls was no longer a priority

Well, since you aren't going to picwhore, I guess I have to...

For anyone out there thinking "Hmm...you know, Northwestern is pretty much the coolest school out there, even more so than Michigan, but will I be able to sate my desires for both beer and bacon in Chicago?" the answer is yes and at the same time! I recently discovered this myself at a beer and bacon tasting at Paddy Long's in Lincoln Park. And I have (not very good) pictures to prove it!

Ukrainian Village/West Town (just far enough south of the hipsters in Wicker Park to still be affordable). It's a great location because the 66 runs right by my block, and it's just a 9 minute walk to the blue line trains.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
