Truth. Just a few days in San Diego sold me on the concept of California as paradise. My wife won't move there though. Some reason like "wanting to be close to her family" or something silly like that. Pffft. Family won't melt the snow!crumpetsandtea wrote:Trust me, once you move here you won't want to leave.freestallion wrote:I don't think I want to stay in CA after grad, so maybe an east coast/midwest school would be better after all...living in CA is just so appealing, though!

Luckily, Chicago is awesome enough to make up for it's terrible weather, so it all works out.

Haha yup! All that debt combined with the fact that I'm hanging onto a tiny shred of hope that UT will decide to get rid of the GPA floor and decide to let me in. But I'm retaking and submitting as soon as we get our scores, so I can hold off making the decision for at least a few more weeks. : )Samara wrote:Yeah, with your numbers and WE, it definitely looks to be your best shot at T14. Chicago winters build character. Balmy weather is for the infirm.
But seriously- when one has walked a long and lonely mile down a barren, gray street with snow piled up to your waist and the wind whipping at your face and the damp freezing cold getting underneath every layer of your clothing and your eyes watering and crusting with ice- then, and only then, can one fully appreciate the virtue of hospitality, of a warm house, of food and drink and friends and Christmas time in Chicago.
Sorry, I got a little lyrical there. But the weather is worth it.

All that work, and HP gets the inevitably most popular thread's OP scooped by Crumps.

Nice one, Crumps.
Also, does someone in this thread have a Jaleel White tar? If so, might I add: http://youtu.be/I34cljQQ7YA
Although I am not in any way suggesting that this should be the NU song for the 2012 cycle. That would be DEPRESSING.
We can sign up for interviews already? I'm getting on that.

TBF, the only reason HP threadbombed is because I dared him to after he was jelly that I told Crumps she should start the NU thread. It's not like a competition, brahs.vincanity1 wrote:soj wrote:All that work, and HP gets the inevitably most popular thread's OP scooped by Crumps.

Re: Northwestern c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
meh. It would be nice to just do the interview in my home city and not worry much about it, but although I've lived almost all of my adult life in Chicago, I've never been to NU Law. And I have some vacation days (I think). I'll shoot for an early-November visit/interview, unless that's ridiculously late. Why is September full already? We're crazy. All of us.

I'd hardly call it 'being scooped', since I asked him if he'd made on yet and he said I should make one if I was interested. Also why is NU's the most inevitably popular?soj wrote:All that work, and HP gets the inevitably most popular thread's OP scooped by Crumps.
