I'm glad to hear that they actually got mailed out then, and I won't have to wait even longer to get mine. Do you know when yours was postmarked?

The paranoid in me says they accidentally gave me too much money in the first letter and the second will retract it, but I assume that if they did something like that and noticed (thus the second letter) they would have called to soften the blow before we received it.

He was early decision though. Still, makes me want to fight this kid.

There's no way that profile is telling his whole story.

Look on the side: he's a vet with an MBA.

However, I am curious about the other scholarship letter, dated 2/1, that is listed on my status checker.

damn, that's amazing. Congrats!!

What's the stipulation for minnesota scholarships?

Mine was postmarked 1/30 and also have another one on the status checker marked 2/1. Does this mean more money?? :D

Also, the stipulation was a 2.5gpa

The 2.5 stipulation seems pretty standard for Minnesota. Midwestjosh, I don't think I've seen anything on this in the thread to date, but what kind of numbers are we looking at for 2.5? 50% over, 75% over, or what? I'm a bit scared by the 3.0 and top third stips, but the 2.5 from MN seems to be a lot less harsh.

I didn't get anything in the mail today (yesterday since it's past midnight?), which was a little disappointing because of all the hype here lol.

Typically, no more than one or two people lose their scholarship per year (at maximum). It's very common that nobody loses it. You would have to work HARD to get that low of a GPA. The forced curve is between 3.0 and 3.33 per class and across the board.

The national schools don't play games with scholarships. They don't need to.

Has anyone that was accepted awhile back had two separate scholarship mailings listed on there status checker? Seems like the recent admits have this and everything that I received in my initial packet was under the first date.

Two scholarship letters? I don't get it. They couldn't put everything in the first letter?

I was admitted last week and yesterday they sent me two acceptance packages via email. The first of which was someone else's package who happened to have received a full non-resident scholarship.

I didn't read the name at the top of the letter and I got pretty fucking excited! Called my parents/friends. Until I checked the second email saying that it was a mistake and my real acceptance package was attached.

Major disappointment!

Their criminal program is very appealing, so it's definitely a contender! Convincing the husband to move from SoCal to Minnesota might be a bit difficult without a scholarship, though!

Accepted with a $15,000 scholarship. Was really surprised by this since I have a low LSAT and didn't really pursue it. However, I'm a vet so my GI Bill should cover the first two years of law school with this scholarship.

I would address the letter to "Admissions Committee." That is who I have sent my other letters to and it has worked out pretty well for me.
