If you are still here-do you know when scholarship offers are sent out?MidwestJosh wrote:Congrats to applicants receiving admissions this week. I'd love to answer questions if you have them. I'm very happy at UMN.

They'll be sent with your admission letter, unless otherwise noted.uofm26 wrote:If you are still here-do you know when scholarship offers are sent out?MidwestJosh wrote:Congrats to applicants receiving admissions this week. I'd love to answer questions if you have them. I'm very happy at UMN.

Don't forget, folks - if you have specific reasons for applying to law schools, it's important that you share that information in the personal statement or addendum. Take it from someone who applied to 18 law schools and visited most of them.Ernert wrote:wow... rampant YP. Re: University of Minnesota applicants 2011-12 cycle (c/o 2015)
I know I answered this question in forum, but aten2080 and I continued the conversation in PM. I figured I'll extend the same offer I gave him to other admitted students. Feel free to PM me (you can also find me on the Facebook Admitted Students Page) and I'll give you my phone number. I don't really keep it a secret that I'm a fan of the school and the Twin Cities, but I'll absolutely give you my honest opinion and advice on the things I'm not such a fan of, etc.aten2080 wrote:Hey Josh,
I was just wondering about the social/bar scene in Minnesota. Also, I got in ED and I'm coming from California, so do you have any tips for adjusting to the weather?
Thanks.
Best,

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge Josh! I really hope you are right about this bit - I'm above both 75th percentiles but I'm a Minnesota native (living outside the state currently though) and definitely mentioned why I would love to come back home for law school. I hope that's enough to stop them from YP'ing me!MidwestJosh wrote:Don't forget, folks - if you have specific reasons for applying to law schools, it's important that you share that information in the personal statement or addendum. Last update is 12/2.
Has anyone seen any status checker update today? I was really hoping for some decisions already.

I don't want to be a wet blanket - but this isn't how our admissions process typically goes. Please don't jump to conclusions until you've received a phone call or read a letter. Best of luck!U-Bahn wrote:minnbills wrote:yep. Congratulations!U-Bahn wrote:My status stays at 'in review',

Got the "Letter of admission" under status too!
Idk what else that could mean other than accepted?
I'm really excited
I was really down today / wondering if I'll under perform my cycle after my surprise outright rejection from GW
Definitely seriously interest in Minnesota!

Since I'm an international applicant, I guess I won't get the phone call though
