Every school should just post real-time charts of the process. Total transparency. You track where you are in the process, where everyone else is, cross-reference by complete date, gpa, age, whatever. This is the 21st century. We've given up our privacy rights. So should they.

(174, 3.8, not URM, decent but not extraordinary softs, submitted in October and complete since 11/22)

Best of luck to everyone still waiting. I hope the rest of this week brings more acceptances! Thanks all for keeping me entertained throughout this ridiculous process. :)

ETA: No LOCI

Sorry, splbagel! Though the fact you also got DLS makes me think that they may well have started waitlisting...

Me too. Given the waves of DLS's we've survived I have to think that we're something special.

This. they dont even need to put our individual stats up there. just telling us how many spots are left/filled would be enough to at least give us a picture. at the end of the day, they have to say how many people were admitted anyway. whats the harm in keeping us posted on that?

splbagel - will you call and ask if it's a WL? Based on timing and #'s it seems likely...

Yeah - it looks like last year, the first regular WL letter was dated April 6. (I say "regular" because of the few emails that went out before that, for people with deadlines.)

I just called and got their "all our staff are assisting other callers" message. They must be inundated! I'll try back when I get off of work and let you know what I find out.

Can we go back to assuming all of our DLS over the past 2 days are rejections so that if it happens we can be happy?

I'm scared!

hopefully! at the same time, I keep thinking they've had the application for long enough to know if they want me or not.

They're probably just really slow readers.

Hi all; I got a call at 12:21 from an unknown number. I live in the 650 area code as well. Can someone please tell me what number showed up on their phone when Dean Deal called? I am dying here. I am soft hold who applied 1/25 and has been in review since 2/6. Also can someone confirm that if you do not pick up the phone they will send you an email? Thanks everyone! Good luck to all who wait especially those of us soft holds/snow flakes. Also I am sorry for those who have been rejected.

1. The call shows up as a 650 number.
2. They follow up with an email.

She wants the digits that follow 650.

No the # was 100 % unknown sorry if that was not clear. I have yet to get an e-mail so maybe it was not the big call. About how long does it take from email to call? When you get a call does it come from an unknown # or a 650 #? Thanks.

The number isn't blocked or unknown, and comes from 650. It is Dean Deal's direct line, so that probably shouldn't be made public. If you missed her call she will leave a voicemail and immediately send a follow up email.

What exactly constitutes a "soft hold"? I have been under review since before 2/6...Does that make me a "soft hold" as well? I thought soft holds were people who applied early, like before 2012, and still haven't heard anything. Sorry if this is a dumb question...I don't really keep up with the threads for the schools which I have no shot at.
