Just in case, I wore my cardinal-colored shirt to work today.

Oh crap! I wore that "Duke Law" hat for like 5 minutes today. I think I jinxed myself...Just gotta say "Andrew Luck" 100x fast to get rid of the bad karma.

I got the email about my award letter today and immediately created my SUNet ID so that I could view it. I was able to sign in and access AXESS, but I don't see the Finances Tab that they mention in the email. Is this because I didn't wait 24 hours after creating my SUNet ID?

Maybe. Try looking in the Financial Aid Award Letter tab on the left.

You have to give it at least a few hours and up to a day. Its spelled out in the email.

Yeah, that tab isn't there for me yet. Guess I have to wait. Argh.

Any consensus on the debate on whether soft holds will hear back in time before Chicago's deadline?

I told them about my NYU deadline. No response yet. I figure it can't hurt and they might as well know.

Edit: Harvard and Columbia both answered the same email and basically said we can't make any promised but we've made a note of it on your file and will do our best, thanks for letting us know.

Yes, I emailed them yesterday. They sent me a nice email back telling me that I they are trying to get through them all before the end of April and if I haven't heard back closer to the deadline, I should get in touch with them again.

Good luck you all! Is Chicago unwilling to extend the deposit deadline/how strict do you think the deadline actually is?

Chicago said they aren't giving extensions.

I'll ask again GENEVA, maybe you're just coy. Submission/completion dates? If you're coy, just give a month.

Pretty sure your SUNet ID may take up to a day to work but once you are able to get in your letter should be there. jd5, you don't see anything under "view award letters"?

Pretty sure I remember her saying she submitted everything right at the end of the cycle. So January?

THANK YOU! @spek I was gonna PM her/him, but figured maybe he/she wasn't answering because they were missing my posts.

No worries, they probably haven't started accepting soft holds, but will soon. It just looks like Geneva was a hold because she was posting three times a day about how she was worried she was held.

Sorry for the delayed response! I submitted in January, but my undergrad did not send the letter of good standing to SLS until LATE february! I started posting several times a day after I got into Berkeley via FR2 (March 8?) because that was the first time I thought I actually might have a shot at Stanford. People can say what they want about Berkeley/SLS not having a similar admissions policy, but I feel like the type of student that is accepted to Berkeley out-of-state is the same type that has a good shot at Stanford w/ perhaps a few more LSAT points. I can only speak from my experience, but I applied to both schools super late in the cycle (applied to Berkeley w/i a week of deadline) and had success, whereas I am on "hold" at Columbia and Harvard. But, I digress. Good luck to everyone still waiting!!! :)
