What does your status checker say if you've been admitted?

Hahaha. Maybe the law school admissions gods heard you? Or maybe Stanford is just behind. Either way, no harm done. Maybe we'll be seeing those calls from the 650 tomorrow. Here's hoping anyway.FryBreadPower wrote:Damn my earlier post about Murphy's Law.

Le sigh.
I really wish I didn't raise my hopes up.

Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I really think there will be a wave of acceptances sometime this week. Whether I'm included in that wave is quite another thing (Please love me Dean Deal?!?), but it would be consistent with last year for Stanford to admit more people in the very near future. There is not the same pattern for the 09-10 cycle where March was almost exclusively rejections, but there is a similar pattern in the 08-09 cycle as well.
So to sum up, I am hopeful but I really have no idea. Sigh.

I know I've been waiting since November but this week seems slower than ever. I think it's because of all the positive speculation. Oh well back to faking productivity.

I applied within the first few weeks of the cycle. My status has not changed for months--Like 5 months.
Is there a point where it become appropriate to call their office and ask what's going on?

In this case I would hold off because lots of ppl seem to be in a similar position. Good luck!Another-TLS-Bum wrote:I applied within the first few weeks of the cycle. My status has not changed for months--Like 5 months.

Are there really many people who have not heard back and who applied in September?

Yes. I applied in October, but plenty of September applicants also haven't heard anything yet - that's just the way SLS admissions work.

Seems like we're in the 'soft hold' group. All we can do is hold on tight and try to enjoy what's left of this ride.Geneva wrote:In this case I would hold off because lots of ppl seem to be in a similar position. So is anyone else that went complete in October gonna submit an LOCI. Doesn't that just seem presumptuous/in bad taste if I haven't been waitlisted or contacted by the school? Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I'm not since I have nothing new to say. If you do have something new (e.g., resume, grades, etc) then go ahead.DBishops wrote:So is anyone else that went complete in October gonna submit an LOCI. Stanford must really not want to read my app... I've been "submitted for review" but not yet under review since early January...

Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
That's the last stage. There's nothing between "submitted for review" (under review) and "decision letter sent." I've been there since November, and we have some folks since October and September, so you're not alone!astaris wrote:Stanford must really not want to read my app...
