Haha, does anyone else doubt that Ryan Lee is his real name? I'm skeptical...XCanadian91 wrote:+1Geneva wrote:Best part--Ryan Lee.donna7 wrote:There's a new post from Dean Deal.

Would love to know who that is ...
when were you accepted? i'm trying to figure out if the may 1 deadline is re:postmark or if the actual check needs to be received by that date.Davidbentley wrote:Mine was May 9. FWIW.adam1 wrote:Any May 10 deposit deadlines out there? Curious if May 1 is it.
I read this as a middle-finger-type gesture toward all the still under reviews. I mean quite honestly for those of us who applied relatively early on (early enough to expect a response at least) this is just about as inappropriate as it can get.yepyepyep wrote:The numbers comment makes me think there won't be any more acceptances being rolled out.
I wish Dean Deal would have at least thrown us a bone and let us know what's happening to those that are still waiting...

220 seems a small number when you consider its yield. Isn't it close to 50% or am I way off?chucklesmcgee wrote:Considering the post mentions around 220 outstanding acceptances for a class of 180, I really think our odds are looking pretty slim at this point.
Those numbers alone actually don't sound bad. They definitely have more than 220 outstanding acceptances. 220 I think was the number of people at ASW. Stanford's yield historically has been near 50%, I think?chucklesmcgee wrote:Considering the post mentions around 220 outstanding acceptances for a class of 180, I really think our odds are looking pretty slim at this point.
I feel like you may have already been dinged if SLS didn't llike something about your file/feel like you would be a good fit in the class? I hadn't heard from HLS and decided to withdraw my application this past weekend. Today i received an interview request. The law school admissions process is a mystery to me, but at this point I feel like no news should equal good news (or at least waitlist territory)?chucklesmcgee wrote:Considering the post mentions around 220 outstanding acceptances for a class of 180, I really think our odds are looking pretty slim at this point.
Why is this? Why do you think still under review is worse than DLS-WL?adam1 wrote:I read this as a middle-finger-type gesture toward all the still under reviews.

I agree. In addition, it is also telling that she had time enough to update her blog as opposed to going through the under review pile and making a decision. I reckon we won't hear today. They'll wait for the mail tomorrow, see how many deposit checks they receive, and then ding us all to kingdom come.chucklesmcgee wrote:Considering the post mentions around 220 outstanding acceptances for a class of 180, I really think our odds are looking pretty slim at this point.
I guess there isn't a good reason to think this. No reason to think anything until you hear I guess. There certainly aren't many if any non-WL acceptances left, but there could be a few. Again, I'm just frustrated.jim-green wrote:Why is this? It's not definitive on their website, they'll 'try' to have everything done by today. But seeing as there is a may 1st deposit deadline(I think), it makes sense for them to have an idea of how many of their initial admits will actually accept.soleilik wrote:Chucky21 wrote:I agree. I thought today was the absolute last day to hear something back, no?
