Usually zero, but if any school isn't going to give a crap about LSDAS GPA vs. "real" GPA, it's Yale. So...good luck. I know your (cogito's) long story really sucks...I probably would explode if all that happened to me.
care to share? I wanna explode. I mean geez, 4.0 to 3.2 is a heck of a drop
Spent two years in college without caring much about school (2003-2005). I earned 2.0 during those years. I was 18 and 19 at the time, and was preoccupied with pretty cool/interesting work that involved traveling all over the country on weekends/summers. Left school to take a full-time position in 2005. I returned to school five years later, completed 60 credits of 4.0 class work, graduating in May.

So I'm graduating from my degree-granting institution with honors, 4.0, etc., but applying to law school with 3.2.

I'm coming to grips with the fact that I might very well be this cycle's only applicant to graduate w/ 4.0 and a 99th percentile LSAT, yet fail to gain admission to a t-10 law school. :?

First world problems eh?

Hmm, I must have been remembering someone else (who took medical leave or something, and was given punitive W's by LSDAS for a whole semester). Your story sucks, but at least you kind of earned it.

Waitlisted by email just now as well. I honestly feel happy about this, and will probably ride it long into the summer.

Edit: for grammar

Gmail finally loaded... nothing. Surely this means rejection, so why can't they get it over with?

Ahh, there's the WL. I will confirm that they don't allow WL acceptances to defer and then withdraw.

Fun fact, the waitlist is "a pool of less than 100 files" as compared to an incoming class of over 200, so in a way it's more selective. Yeah, I'll keep telling myself that.

Wow, seems like a ton of WL's. How many people does Yale usually WL?

ETA: Right when I posted this, saw the "100" in the post above me. That seems pretty small, actually, especially given how many WL's are represented on TLS right now
