Are all of the people getting dinged by email people who a) are international or b) have informed Yale that they have pending scholarship offers and need to know asap? Also, has anyone been dinged by letter yet?

(what I'm getting at is basically, have they started doing all dings by email?)

I emailed them about my pending deadlines and got no response no ding so far. But I applied fairly early though, and this wave of dings is all about late applicants.

I'm not international, and I did not tell Yale anything about deadlines.

The email said this: "We know that deposit and scholarship deadlines for many schools are quickly approaching. In the interest of time, we wanted to provide you with your decision by e-mail."

I imagine they're doing all dings by email at this point.

If I update my Yale application with a new rec letter today, will it even be requested/read? My file didn't go complete until March 15 due to my failure to properly assign LORs, so perhaps it hasn't been evaluated yet...

Today I just assigned a new (4th) recommendation to my Yale application via LSAC--does anyone know how frequently Yale updates files with new rec letters? I did not apply until March 1, so hopefully my new recommendation will be received before my application is evaluated...

I know they accepted my rec in early March, but it was in less than a week after deadline and before my file went complete. Maybe the info is online somewhere? For any other school besides Harvard, I'd suggest you send an email, but Yale does not seem to encourage emails...
