Is it possible to submit an Early Decision app still and be considered for early decision at Michigan if you have not already done so?

Did any of you write your hobbies on your resume? Also when Michigan asks for an explanation of what you have done since school, did you guys write a paragraph dedicated to this subject or just assume your resume spoke for itself?

I think so. The submission deadline is November 15th as far as I know. Check the instructions.

Congrats! That's a positive sign.
Thanks! Definitely a positive sign. You have nothing to worry about, though, with your slightly-better-than-mine stats!

Eh I figured the question is answered through my resume. I feel like writing a paragraph specifically answering this point would have been overkill.

Believe the complete date is November 15th, not submission date.

Where is this on the app? I didn't write any such thing. I don't even remember seeing something like that.

D'oh! Every time I check and get red, I resolve to just wait and see if I ever get anything by mail. Then every morning I check again. I thought I would at least be able to convince myself not to check on the weekend!

Congrats!

So I've seen this a few times and was hoping for some clarification. What is "red" and what does that entail? I have only ever checked my status checker, where things have only been royal blue for the past week or so (without anything other than that I am "complete").

The first way to find out if you are in is through the Admitted Students Website. Its the same as the status checker in terms of logging in. On that page, if you are not yet admitted, you will get a red error message. If you have been admitted, it will go to a pretty blue welcome page. A few days later, your status checker will also tick over to "Decision" around the time that your packet (hopefully) arrives in the mail.

Ah, thanks. I was accustomed to thinking that ASW meant "Admitted Students Weekend," and assumed that there was some email that was like "Book your plane ticket now!" or something. Oops.

I like this system. Do any other t14 schools have something similar in place?

I feel like most of my comments in this thread could just be: "jelly."

Congrats everyone who has admits. I'm just hoping for a status checker that says "complete" before the Nov. 15 deadline. I had everything in on 10/31 Mich! Don't bone me out of an ED opportunity! I want to go to your school.

They weren't closed. Almost no schools do.

Right before the area where you upload your resume it tells you to list jobs, activities, awards.....

Ah. I think its fine to treat this like a normal resume unless you aren't doing anything, but have plans to that your resume would not reflect. I just attached my usual resume to that slot. I didn't read the directions. I've already been admitted, which makes me think that approach was fine, but my resume did have my current employment and I'm finishing a PhD so that was probably evident from my format. If its evident what you are doing, then just upload it as usual.
