Thank you for sharing this info! I had a couple minor errors in my Mich PS and I was convinced that I would soon be getting the snail mail rejection letter.

Good luck, everyone!

Not sure if you took the full context of my statement. I was admitted to Michigan about 4 weeks after I applied... I was speaking about William & Mary when I stated I didn't receive a decision from them.

your file was probably misread or misplaced. when did u apply for michigan?

Should I do it in a LOCI? Or send it in an email?

i sent a why mich in loci format a month ago and i'm still complete everyday. i don't think it hurts though

Haha I feel your pain, complete since 1/13. Did you send it as an attachment to an email or just in the email itself? Sorry lots of questions  don't want to bother Dean Z...

I may follow this route... even though I still haven't even gotten my status checker...

i sent it as an attachment to an email. idk if i would follow my advice though, i submitted in september and haven't heard back

Daily post. Complete. I'm starting to realize we really don't have much time left to decide either. Most people have to deposit by April- may, and it looks like WLa don't even go out until next next Monday. Ive started tetatively planning for DC, especially since I hear housing in AA is almost impossible to get late. I'm not sure about everyone else, by either way I've gotta move cross country, not something easily done at the drop of a hat

Now to seduce an up and coming senator to be mah sugar momma in DC for the next three years....luxxe if we both end up there I'm gonna recruit you for my cause.

I think you mean 'mah sugah mama' but seriously...DC would be SO much more expensive than AA!

I got to Michigan for undergrad. People sign on housing in October/November; its absurdly early. Although its not as expensive as DC but as far as college real estate goes its fairly expensive, 650-1000 a month depending on where you are living

I pay almost $1,200 for a 2-bedroom that's not downtown. Expect to be at the top end of that, or more, if you don't want a roommate or want to be right downtown.

Yea thats true. I pay 620 but I live about a 15 min walk from the downtown bars and the law school. Luxury apartments built in AA are close to 1200 a month. All the affordable housing is gone by now though

A lot of us are in the same boat. we will find roommates. we will find affordable and convenient shelter in AA.

assuming, of course, that we get in.

I read an interview with Dean Tom from Berkeley where he writes that approximately 25% of their spots remain by the time the application deadline rolls around. I'm going to apply some wishful thinking and say this is the exact same for Michigan. And we're all going to get accepted. And I'm going to win the lottery.

*firm nod*

i don't think that it is a stretch to say that this is an "unusual" cycle. because apps are down, they are waiting until the end to make more decisions.

jeez, you guys are making me feel like we are the uncool kids stuck waiting while everyone else gets picked for dodgeball teams. KEEP IT TOGETHER.

I do feel that way a little bit. I was never very good at dodgeball.

I'll put a tent up in the law quad. Sure, it will be freezing when the snow comes down, but I'll be a complete hardass by Feb.

If it's any comfort, you'll be so busy you'll barely know who you're living with. Especially if they are in a different section. I barely saw my roommate last year. I had morning classes, he had mainly afternoon. I came home in the afternoon to study, and he stayed at the library until ridiculously late studying.
