Amen. It makes me regret majoring in a hard science, having 3 minors, and cramming my schedule to graduate early.

Taking those stupid Japanese classes that bombed my gpa... I'm still bitter.

I had a double major and a minor and worked all through college, while taking 18 credits 2 semesters in a row.... I pulled a lot of all nighters. And yes, I still had a life.

I absolutely did not mean to discredit your accomplishments, if that's what you interpreted my comment as. I was just commenting that retrospectively, for me personally, I took on too much.
That aside, congratulations on your acceptance! I'm sure you worked hard for it, so celebrate!!

Still haven't gotten a status checker, but got an e-mail 12/9 saying they'd send me a username/password for it in 3-4 weeks. Guess it'll be closer to 5 weeks before I can start compulsively checking!

With my fee waiver I received a letter where the Dean (or someone in the office) wrote at the bottom: "We love to get UT grads!" - made me smile and got my hopes up, but I'm thinking they likely did it for everyone

Yeah, that happened to me. I received my status checker then once my app went complete I got another status checker e-mail identical to the first.

Mine said something like "We love chem. e majors!". But my cat managed to barf on the letter...I'm kinda sad.
