Why does the text have to be red?
it should be this color.
or even a nice lilac would be more suitable.
Just throwing that out there.

I agree. Or they could use a blue and yellow color scheme.sandwiches5000 wrote:Why does the text have to be red?

Okay so I figured out that the ASW only updates once per day.... but does anyone know at what time? midnight? noon?

Does being a student at Michigan mean lots of AD puns? If so, I want to go to there.

They told I went complete on Tuesday and that if I didn't get a status checker yesterday, it would be next Wednesday. Ugh, it takes so long to go through these initial steps, but at least it seems like they process you pretty quickly after going under review, unlike these other schools that put you "under review" for several interminable weeks while others around you are getting decisions.tdicks wrote:we're just trying to get this thread back on track. that track being status checkers and ASW login attempts, obviously.

I feel like everyone in this thread is freaking out. Michigan's status checker takes forever to arrive; it took me like a month to get it. It updates everyday for everyone, so once it has updated for that day there is no need to keep checking. And seriously, you'll get a package in the mail if you're admitted, no need to check the ASW a million times a day. Your life won't be any different if you find out today or in two days when the packet gets to your house. I wish they didn't even have status checkers and no one mentioned the ASW because people are getting CRAZY up in here!

THIS I also feel that I wish they didn't have status checkers or that ASW access wasn't as easy because then the neuroses wouldn't kick in.AmandaPB wrote:I feel like everyone in this thread is freaking out. But then what would we obsess about now that we no longer have the LSAT or the applications? There's an empty space in my brain that needs to be filled with something, I think.JoeMo wrote:THIS I also feel that I wish they didn't have status checkers or that ASW access wasn't as easy because then the neuroses wouldn't kick in.AmandaPB wrote:I feel like everyone in this thread is freaking out. I feel the same way as you two, but I also know that all three of us have already been admitted. It's a lot easier to point the finger at the crazies when you are no longer one of them.JoeMo wrote:THIS I also feel that I wish they didn't have status checkers or that ASW access wasn't as easy because then the neuroses wouldn't kick in.AmandaPB wrote:I feel like everyone in this thread is freaking out. Of course, I didn't even find out by checking ASW... but I was checking it obsessively up until I knew I was in.ScrabbleChamp wrote: I feel the same way as you two, but I also know that all three of us have already been admitted. But if that information hadn't been available then there would've been nothing to check other than the mailbox and you only have to do that once a day. LOL

Yep, I found out by mail, too. No crazy checking of the ASW for me. Just relax, everyone! We’ll all have decisions in time.JoeMo wrote:Of course, I didn't even find out by checking ASW... but I was checking it obsessively up until I knew I was in.ScrabbleChamp wrote: I feel the same way as you two, but I also know that all three of us have already been admitted. +1. The red text was particularly grating. Although, honestly, I don't think there's a good way for Michigan to deliver the "we haven't made a decision on your application" news to neurotic law school applicants on TLS. I'm sure if the message had been lilac or a peaceful blue, I would have just started hating that color instead.ScrabbleChamp wrote:I feel the same way as you two, but I also know that all three of us have already been admitted. TBF... until you find out you are admitted, you shouldn't even be trying to sign-in to the ASW... so I doubt they put a lot of thought into what the message says if you don't have access.amc987 wrote:+1. I have good numbers for Mich (>median GPA and >75 LSAT), wrote a "Why Michigan?" and even sort of tailored my PS to fit the school. Complete on 11/3 and still nothing.
I know it's still too early, but I'm maybe worrying a bit. Michigan was the first app I sent in, and my Michigan PS has the same message, but is much more polished at the other schools I've applied to. Also I knew that I was sort of phoning in my "Why Michigan?" Essay... it's not bad, just not that good (I wrote "Why X?" essays for all schools that ask for them, but my Michigan one was the worst one).
Hmmm
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
