I would kill for a Michigan acceptance for Christmas not any of you of course.


on a side note, I go by my middle name, and I put it as my preferred name on all my law school apps. Michigan is the only school out of 15 who have actually payed attention to that. It just makes me adore them more.

+1. Actually, GULC did this for me too. I find it especially annoying when other schools use my first name still when my email has my middle name and not my first.

Checking in. I submitted on 11/22, and got the app received email 12/7. I was really hoping that I'd get my status checker before Christmas, but it's starting to look like that's not going to happen. Anyone else who applied around the same time still in this boat?

Updated today 12-20...Michigan is a longggg shot but I can dream, can't I?

Eh, your numbers don't make you THAT long of a shot; they just put you on the lower/lower-mid end of the acceptance spectrum. It's probably a long shot if you don't have good softs though.

Yup, just tried it and it appears that they are just re-routing you to the status check. Real subtle, Michigan, we get it.

At least a re-route is a lot less distressing than a giant mass of red text.

Most candidates will receive a decision within 10 weeks of their files’ completion, but occasionally, we require more time to thoroughly consider an application.

I'm at 8 weeks. I guess they're thoroughly considering. I don't think my app is terribly unique though. I guess my Why Mich was just good enough to get me considered but just bad enough to keep me out?

IIRC, on LSN, waitlists don't start going out until after the new year, and then rejections after that. That is why I'm really concerned that I've been complete for quite some time. I fear I'll update... in January

So maybe that's not so bad huh! Mathematically I have to be accepted. I like where your head's at.

Don't sweat it dawg. This graph is littered with WLs at Mich that ended up with great options.
