Still alive as well. I was totally on my way to curbing my once-a-day status checker addiction (three days' streak!) but I couldn't help it once I saw the bloodbath that just happened. My condolences to everyone who got dinged. Hopefully this thread will get some more good news soon.

i have to say that my interest in this thread right now is 30% wanting to get into UMich and 70% being entertained by amount of hardcore infatuation (but don't get me wrong, I've been following UMich around like a lovesick puppy for a while now).

Guys, this is seriously shocking to me, as my numbers are good for Mich, but not like stellar enough for them to disregard my generic PS and the lack of Why Michigan essay... I'm honestly confused.

Ouch some brutal rejections on the last couple of pages.

I applied late so I'm not hopeful, but man would I love an acceptance to at least have the option :S

Grats hypo. Can I ask everyone who got accepted recently (post new year or so), did they get your updated grades before you were in? I've sent mine but they still haven't gotten there, I'm hoping that gets some movement going in my favor. I at least hope for a WL early so I can get a strong LOCI out hopefully.

Stats are 100% accurate. I have seen all but one of my LORs. I had two law professors look over my PS. I also have work experience as an educator and coach as well as some significant softs. I understand the speculation, something is clearly off-putting about me/my app. I've never committed a crime or anything either, because I am certain some may speculate that as well, ha ha.

For whatever it is worth, I applied for deferred admission at Michigan. They were animate that it is increasingly more difficult to be admitted via differed admission.

I'm not going to lie, I am very upset about what has happened thus far, but my only choice is to persevere.
