Applications will be available September 1

Key Dates: http://www.law.umich.edu/prospectivestu ... ocess.aspx
We will accept applications for the 2011-2012 academic year between September 1, 2010, and February 15, 2011.

NOTE: Transmission of electronic applications to this law school will begin on 9/15/2011. Please return to this page at that time to transmit your application.
Early Decision Program: http://www.law.umich.edu/prospectivestu ... ption.aspx
We have an Early Decision program for summer starters only; it is binding, which means that in applying, you agree to come if we make you an offer. We recommend that applicants to the Early Decision program submit their materials by about November 1 in order for their files to be completed by our November 15 deadline; we will make all decisions by December 15.
Application Checklist: http://www.law.umich.edu/prospectivestu ... higan.aspx
-Valid LSAT score
- CAS
- Completed application form for the University of Michigan’s J.D. program.
- Application fee ($75) or waiver
- One to three letters of recommendation
- Personal statement and any optional essays
Application Timeline:

2012 PDF Application: http://www.law.umich.edu/prospectivestu ... /jdapp.pdf

JD Online Status Check: http://web.law.umich.edu/AdmAppStatus/home.aspx

Admitted Students Website: https://www.law.umich.edu/_forms/Emplid ... tudents%2f
More informative than the status checker since they try to coincide any change in the status checker with the reception of mail. If you are able to log into this site, then you've been admitted. Updates once a day, so don't go too crazy checking this.

I kind of like that they sent out a decent sized batch of admits in late Oct/early Nov. Makes me feel like the early bird may get a worm here. I wonder if they were all ED or...? OK, fine, HP/Gob just made 27 threads, I suppose I can do a tiny bit of research on my own.

Never mind, looks like the earliest was mid-November, even with a September app. *whistles while walking away*

There is no real answer to that. None of the data we have is rock solid with respect to hiring ITE. That being said, Mich places a large chunk of its class into biglaw, has a much wider reach than Cornell as it feeds into the Chicago legal market as, and isn't in motherfucking Ithaca. I would apply, at the very least, to see if I could use it to leverage scholarship money.

That's probably what I'm going to end up doing, even though I have no desire to live in Chicago and am ED'ing NYU. Eh, worst case scenario I'm out $80.

If I could get a 175+ and Michigan by some miracle let me in with my low GPA, I could die happy.

And soj!!

Oh, and as a post grad Wolverine I am in on this thread so hard. Probably one of my top two "target" schools assuming I can push my LSAT up just a little bit more in the next month and a half.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
