Perhaps I was too subtle with the enormous pictures of the school and fireworks, but me, too!

Did you ever find out from the Admissions Office what your status is supposed to say (Early Decision - No Decision, as opposed to just Complete)? As I said before, a friend of mine applied ED and I check his status checker for him because he can't, but his status checker is stuck at Complete.

Yeah, they said that it wouldn't change back before a decision is rendered.

"Thank you for your interest in Michigan Law. Your status will not change back to complete; we assume you already know your file is complete! Once we make a decision on your application, your status will update.

We appreciate your patience during this busy time of year. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Best,"

Odd... I wonder if he has been rejected and just doesn't know it yet... he isn't stateside, so he can't check his mail...

I'm pretty sure the status check updates for rejection, but they also send a letter? I don't even know anymore.

Congrats everyone that got in today.

Do we have any idea whether the status checker updates more than once a day yet? e.g., can it change from complete to accepted in the same day?

Well, now I'm really torn. I have been getting excited about Penn for a while now, so we'll see what happens. I guess it's time to review the countless M versus P threads that seem to crop up every year.

Come to Michigan! You owe it to yourself since it was the pictures that got you in.

But Penn doesn't get as cold! And cheesesteaks are delicious! :D

Either way though, you'll end up at a great school (and if I get into Michigan, it'll make my decision even harder)

Liquox wrote:i guess umich is just like the rest of them. they look at your stats, and if you're high (accept quickly) or low (reject with next batch) you'll hear back early. if you have somewhere-n-the-middle stats, you get to sit here and wait in the order we sent them.

congrats to the in's
Honestly don't think it's as cut and dry as that- my stats are not great (in my profile) and I was in about a month after sending my app. Only unusual thing I did was visit mich/made it clear they were my top choice/why Mich essay.

I really do think they are putting together a class in some specific sort of way...so everyone should have hope, regardless of numbers :)

What does it mean when your application is updated (mine was today) but it still just says "complete"?
