That's probably a safe bet. UVA waitlists people like nobody's business. If your numbers are too low: waitlist (they seem to like soft rejections). If your numbers are too high: waitlist (they love yield protecting). If your numbers are just right (and you write a good "Why UVA?") you might avoid it.

Love UVA. Hate their waitlist policies.

It really is like a rite of passage for law school applicants.

On the website, you click on Forums. Its free to register, I don't know how many are left, but they are in major metropolitan areas (Bay Area, Boston, NY, Chicago, etc).

Excited about UVA, about starting the application process in toto. Good luck to everyone.

Provided I get a 171+, I will have to have a serious discussion with the SO over whether or not I ED. Big decision.

Will magnitude-5.8 earthquakes interfere with studying?

Checkin in. Will probably apply ED depending on my October LSAT score. UVA is my top choice

The new app sucks. Doesn't let you attach non-conduct addenda. I wish LSAC had all this tested beforehand.

hey Hawkeye Pierce, isn't this also true for Stanford? There's no place to attach an addendum... except under the diversity statement section, but I don't think that's what they want us to do...

Who is writing a "Why V"? Am I correct in seeing that there is no prompt for this, just an option to attach any other addenda we think UVA would want to see?

Has anyone found an app that can be transmitted before 9/15?

If this means I'm not going to have to write a Why V...score.

I am writing it.. I will just upload it as an "extra" addenda and title it as supplemental essay

Or just include it in your PS if it fits to tailor it.

Oh, I know, and I was always going to write it. I mean, I'll get WL'd either way.

Tagged. Submitted my app today to avoid the sheer stress of not having a single app in Sept. 1; immediately regretted the decision. Impulsive decision-making FTL.

Hahaha - I was debating the same thing and restraining myself. Part of me just really wants to cross one app off the list. I feel like you can edit these PS and what not endlessly, over things that probably won't make a darn bit of difference to whether you are admitted or not.

Same here... I really want to have SOMETHING in just for the sake of feeling relief... but I have to keep editing my PS, Resume, addendums, Why essays... etc. Ahh!! I just think we should submit it all and be done with it. Sighhh.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
