I applied last year and got rejected (albeit with a worse LSAT score), I applied again this year and got accepted. OOS & 3.6x/17x.

For those of you that sent an email in with updated information / an expression of continued interest-- how quickly did you hear back? Did they at least confirm that they received the update? I haven't heard anything from UVA in about three months. I sent Dugas an email early yesterday, but I still haven't received even a confirmation reply. This is probably just me being antsy, but if a confirmation is the norm, then I'm thinking of following up with the office.

Got an email from the Director of Admission at UVA yesterday asking me to call him. Called today and was accepted. No scholarship but he said there would be merit aid available.

Didn't get YPed because I sent a LOCI a while back.

Congrats! Out of curiosity, what do you mean by "no scholarship but merit aid would be available"? I'm just interested because there was no scholarship mentioned in my call, and I've been wondering if the possibility is still open or if I'm doomed to sticker.

Ahh, I just got the email and called Mr. Dugas. Also had to leave a message, I'm hoping he calls me back by the end of the day-- not sure I could survive the weekend!

I faxed a LOCI, but I did not hear back either. The fax was successful, but it would have been nice to get a confirmation.

For all you guys waiting, I know the secret into getting in. Its insane I did this and got an email literally the same day(and only a week after submitting my app)! I dont wanna say details on here so just PM me if you want

I've called twice now, no answer (only left one message). Weighing my options between seeming crazy by calling a third time right around 5 pm or waiting totally impatientily all weekend.

Edit: Went for crazy, still no answer. Resigned to waiting out the weekend, hopefully for good news Monday

I sent an email to Director Dugas yesterday telling him what I had been doing the past three months and that I was still very interested in UVA. He replied this afternoon and asked me to call him back. I definitely suggest trying this if you're still waiting to hear anything back. So far it's been quite successful. He even apologized for the delay in my decision!

My application went complete in mid-December and at some point around Christmas/New Year's (or maybe right after), when I wasn't checking status checkers every day, it went under review, and has been ever since. My status checker doesn't show a date either.

Oh noes. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!

I think I'm going to send a LOCI.
