UVA admit here! Heard back on the 19th of December and very excited about it! Didn't think I would have much of a chance with my GPA (3.4) but I think I was strong in most other areas.

That makes no sense........given your stats and residency, I'm sure a lot more rejections are coming down the pipeline.

Uh oh, I'm not a VA resident, but I have similar stats (also multi LSAT)
When did you apply? Did you get the UCR status change in December?

I just got denied via e-mail too although my credentials aren't nearly as strong as yours so I'm not really surprised. i'm sorry
but your numbers are so strong that i'm sure you're going to end up somewhere great. good luck to everyone still waiting
incase people are curious:
3.75/163 (scored SIGNIFICANTLY below my practice tests on my LSAT and i'm still beating myself up over it)
non-URM
submitted 11/6 and received confirmation e-mail 11/9

Yield Protect
WL or reject (?) applicants they believe will not attend their school

Yield Protection: Some schools deny applicants with high numbers because they do not think they will attend if admitted; the school seeks to protect its high yield rate (attending students/ admitted students) in order to boast it in admissions materials.

High yield AND lower acceptance rate. Also, "selectivity" is a slight component of USNWR ranking I believe... Something trivial like 2.5%

Wow. This is just shocking and puzzling.
Pretty good chance I fax the ED contract to UVA in a couple of weeks and I'm really hoping they don't waitlist or reject me before that.
