How long has it taken for the status checker to change after admission? Notification comes through snail mail as opposed to email, right?

Went complete in January...nothing yet!

Notification is by telephone, as far as I know.

ETA: To be more exact. By email asking you to call in order to receive the news by telephone.

It seems like a few schools are doing the waiting game this cycle. My guess is they are expecting a ton of movement and are holding on to a few of the borderline (both with high and low #s) apps until the movement (ie withdraws) really starts...

Anyone care to comment on this?

I haven't looked at the checker in a while, but all it says is 2012, Full-time, JD. I thought it used to have more information such as current status date, etc. Am I wrong? Any ideas what this could mean?

I'm not expecting it to be good. Do they let you know by status checker if you've been WL'd or rejected?

UVA, sometimes, I bump your thread just because you're all the way back on the 3rd page. I do not know if you've noticed, but you haven't moved very much lately. We'd love to see some action, so we know everyone in the admissions office is ok. We are getting a little worried.

For applying to top schools, you sure can't recognize that guy's picture of UChicago worth a damn.

As far as status checker goes, they don't update any info there. Their FAQs say that you're notified by phone if you're in. If you're not, you get an email.

Are you still considering UVA? My guess is that they are assuming you'll go to Harvard and are waiting for you to withdraw.
