BTW guys, I just received my phone call, and I got in with an incredible scholarship. I applied RD back at the end of October, so don't lose heart if you haven't heard back yet. I did write a (very sincere, thought-out) "Why UVA," and I'm OOS. Numbers in profile. Can't begin to describe my excitement.

Non-resident tuition is ~50k so 150k over 3 years would cover it
In-state is ~45k so 135k would cover that

Accepted today as well! I just applied ED last Friday so I was incredibly shocked when I got the email/phone call today.

Sorry for asking a trite question XD Good to know it's not over for me yet though! I was just confused because they say '6-8' weeks, and presumably you go UR when you go Complete, so I've been UR for ~11 weeks now. Sigh, UVa.

Way to go, guys... jealous!! I went to this website and did a student loan calculator thing though and even 20k per year helps a lot.

Disclaimer it really depends on the assumptions you put in. I just used it as a ballpark. Major takeaways include needing to make a ton of money post-graduation and the sheer amount of interest that is paid over time. I find it mind-boggling and I do finance/accounting for a living (for now at least
