Oh, now I see. I really should start reading more carefully. Thanks!JoeMo wrote:Seriously would it kill you to look back... it's on the top of the page, it says your application is complete or whatever. Re: UVA c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I appreciate that, but my numbers actually aren't all that great (0.25 below UVA's GPA median) and I didn't apply ED. I'm not worried about the wait, neither should you.lgleye wrote:baconpuffs wrote:I applied 9/1 and haven't received a decision. Patience my friend.jumister5889 wrote:So its been 12 days no response. Okay, so I had a total brain fart yesterday and Submitted without a why Virginia. As a Hispanic male, 3.77/171, should I contact them and ask them to hold it for a why Virginia?

But if you were to contact them, I would wait to email them until you have it written & attach it.

Okay, so maybe my brain isn't as farty as I thought. When people are talking about a "Why Virginia," are you referring to an optional addendum on that topic?

Haven't heard back yet. Applied early Sept? OOS 168/4.0/2years f500 WE-- assume WL/reject at this point? Too bad because I was really hoping for UVA.

The status checker says RD applicants won't get anything back until January, so I wouldn't worry yet assuming you did RD. Based on the stats and WE, I'd say you're probably looking at a WL, hopefully getting in later in the Spring. I'd be really surprised if you were flat out rejected.mattbarnes123 wrote:Haven't heard back yet. Applied early Sept? OOS 168/4.0/2years f500 WE-- assume WL/reject at this point? I've been complete with no movement since 9/20. RD. Any other Sept. RD folks still waiting? LSN suggests that maybe they just don't send waitlist notifications until December, but people ITT have been waitlisted already.

I applied in September. I'm similar to you in that I'm OOS, RD, wrote Why UVA. My LSAT is above 75th and my GPA is below 25th.Nelson wrote:I've been complete with no movement since 9/20. RD. Letting all those anxiously refreshing their status checker know: I received ED acceptance 2-3 weeks ago and my status checker still hasn't changed. The only change has been that there are now due date for the deposits. Just wait for an email -> call. Should save your index finger some stress

GPA above 75th, LSAT between 25th and Median, OOS, WE. Radio silence. Sent in early September. Assuming WL at this point. Congrats to everyone in so far!

I got in very recently as well! Haven't updated this thread though. Kinda surprised since I was sure I was heading for the WL at this point, so don't give up hope! I've been complete since September, OOS, RD. Medianish GPA and >75th LSAT.

Re: UVA c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
very weird.....sent UVA a withdrawal email friday, got a reply today thanking me for applying...except it also said,
"i hope they have nice tennis courts wherever you end up going to law school"...
i wrote about tennis in my ps...
..it appeared to be a very specific email directed to me, not a form email at all.....
i guess that means they already read my file and somehow remembered me???
