I think many of you will find this technical. I regard my chances at obtaining admission as quite low, particularly after the wait. (173, 3.39). In that spirit I sent the following email. What do you guys think?

To whom it may concern:

In the months following my applications submission, it has become clear to me the University of Pennsylvanias School of Law is the ideal institution for continuing my legal education. Should the privilege of admission be extended I would attend. It Is my opininion this expressed sentiment would be binding, if not technically, in the same manner by which a Binding Early Decision is. Invariably, it is Penn's prerogative to accept, disregard or laugh at this statement. I simply wished to express the sentiment. Thank you for taking the time to evaluate my application.

Warm wishes, Jeff Nordlander

This must be a flame.

If not, you missed two apostrophes for possessives in the first sentence, which will make any educated reader cringe, the tone is excessively formal, and this:

It Is my opininion this expressed sentiment would be binding, if not technically, in the same manner by which a Binding Early Decision is.

doesn't make any sense. ED acceptances are binding in the sense that, if you choose not to attend, LSAC prevents you from attending any other school. This email doesn't prevent you from attending any other school. You can promise not to attend any other school (as you do in the previous sentence), but that's something different.

Also, of course they can accept, disregard, or laugh at your statements (amongst other things). Why would you point that out?

This email is obviously not binding in same contractual sense as binding early decsion. I was expressing sincere sentiment. After being flamed incessantly i emailed this to a family friend who is a judge and on the board of a top 25 school. She replied " Tongue in cheeck, I like it".
So in conclsuion WHY SO SERIOUS?
As to the typos, highly unfortunate.
PS I will let everyone know whether I get in and/or any response to this email
