Possible, but I wouldn't bank on it. My best guess is that you'll get money if it's need-based, but Penn won't shell out anything merit based.MiamiOxford wrote:Ouch that's not looking too good lol only one person, but I'm wondering if maybe some of the others just didn't report, since at that time they had no reason to update the profile?luxxe wrote:http://penn.lawschoolnumbers.com/applic ... =3&type=jdMiamiOxford wrote:To anyone who may know... Yeah, especially looking at her numbers relative to other ED admits.potl wrote: Possible, but I wouldn't bank on it. My best guess is that you'll get money if it's need-based, but Penn won't shell out anything merit based.

I think you can still apply to Toll Scholar program as an ED applicant. May that what she got.potl wrote:Possible, but I wouldn't bank on it. You can certainly apply for (so theoretically get) need-based aid, but I can't speak to who gets what.

Hi would anyone be kind enough to critique my short Penn 5 year? I would really appreciate it and would return the favor!

Re: Penn c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
So they'll sart putting decisions on 12/5. They'll do the ED's first, of course......... but that shouldn't take long. According to the Dean interviews, acceptance rate (14%) is the same for both ED or RD, and if they receive 200 ED apps a cycle, then that's only 28 ED acceptances...... how long can that take? 1 or 2 days to make phone calls?r6_philly wrote:Ha thanks, I am just another face in the crowd.Ernert wrote:Just went under committee review as well. Also r6, I just saw your LSN and... wow. You are awesome.
BTW the Tumblr feed says decisions starts after 12/5 for ED so almost that time!
So, I'd expect RD decisions to follow shortly......not as late as Xmas.

Just curious, will they actually start giving decisions Monday or could they not start until like Wednesday or Thursday? i think last year they started on a Wednesday, but idk what date they gave as to when they would be starting with decisions.

Seems like all/most the people under committee review so far applied pretty early in cycle and/or are ED. I applied early November, still complete only, I think its too soon to start worrying for people like us.

Yeah, I applied 10/29 and am still only Complete. Thanks for the heads-up, hopefully early RD people will go under review soon.

Same here, I figure that they won't start looking at us late-Oct folks until mid-December at the earliest. I'm personally not expecting any decision until late January at least, but I like to set my expectations low so that I'm pleasantly surprised.msblaw89 wrote:Anyone else who applied RD still just complete. i applied end of Oct. and went complete 11/04

Re: Penn c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I also applied RD at the end of Oct and have just been complete since 11/2. I wouldn't worry. Like other posters have said, almost everyone who is "under committee review" applied at the very beginning of the cycle or applied ED. I have no idea when we'll hear back though. I'm guessing that it won't be until after the holidays even though there might be a few RDers accepted right before Christmas. But according to LSN there were some people who applied RD at the end of Oct/early Nov and got in between 12/20 and 12/23. Here's hoping we're in that group this year!!msblaw89 wrote:Anyone else who applied RD still just complete. i applied end of Oct. and went complete 11/04

Anyone know? Obviously once people start getting calls they'll be posting on here about it, but I'm just wondering if they'll actually start tomorrow or later in the week.iamrobk wrote:Just curious, will they actually start giving decisions Monday or could they not start until like Wednesday or Thursday? i think last year they started on a Wednesday, but idk what date they gave as to when they would be starting with decisions.

I really hope they start on Monday. I can't take this waiting any longer! But, I think you and I have the same UR dates (11/10 and 11/17) so hopefully we'll hear at the same time. Good luck!iamrobk wrote:Anyone know? ED. Status stuck on 11/16, which was my only 'under review' update. With all these more recent ED status changes, pretty sure it's over for me. Just want to get through these next couple of weeks so I can get my WL/Rejection, hopefully hear some good news from Cornell, and move on.

Haha I know, right? Yeah I'm 11/10 and 11/17, so if nothing else hopefully we both got in the first batch they reviewed.4julye wrote:I really hope they start on Monday. I wouldn't worry about it yet. I was reading through last years thread a bit and a few people didn't get the UR date change until the week they gave decisions, and IIRC still got accepted. I think we have really similar numbers though, so don't give up hope! The optimist in me is saying that I'll be accepted, the pessimist in me is saying I'll get a fall grades request like I did from Duke's PT program.DonnaDraper wrote:ED.
