Even if I didn't say anything bad on any of those kind of sites, I would be worried that I would have typos and grammar mistakes and they would think, "This kid isn't smart at all!"

Oh crap. I didn't think about that. I honestly don't think they care about such minute details.

Oh crap. I didn't think about that. I honestly don't think they care about such minute details. I was hoping my blog would not be a problem, because I primarily use it for activism and dialogue around human rights/social justice issues. If they really latched onto my typos and ignored the substantive content, I don't want to go there anyway :|

Let's be honest, yes you do.

:D

I had the same thought about my own situation and inevitably got to this point.

Then again, the reality is that adcoms probably don't have time to peruse TLS. I'd say you're safe

Besides, if you aren't a dick and are an upstanding citizen on this website who cares if they find you?

Yeah, I would have no qualms but I don't want them to figure out my top choices, etc... Oh well. I'm hoping they don't have time to track us down on TLS; Facebook should keep them occupied (I hope!)

@themaddh: Given all of this privacy talk, you might want to delete those freestallion quotes that she later deleted.

anyone know why LSN looks so much more predictable for Columbia and NYU than it does for Chicago?

Somne schools really do look beyond the numbers more than others.

Is it just me or does CLS seem to really really send out a lot of mailings, especially from it's subordinate organizations? I got a letter in the mail today (imagine the heartache as I wondered what it could be), and a personal e-mail from an admissions guy a week ago, along with a couple of other cookie cutter e-mails within the last month.

No other school has reached out like that at all. It really is impressive, I just wish that I believed that they want me to attend vs. want me to apply then get rejected

They must really like you. They haven't sent me a thing (besides the standard application received, application complete, and revised certification form emails), and I applied early.

Well I wouldn't give it a second thought, because my numbers are auto-deny. Most of the stuff is military service centric, but it was cool to get a handwritten letter from one of their organizations.

Unless they are thinking about how they couldn't sleep the night prior because my application kept them up laughing at the attempt to gain admission.

For the class of 2014, Columbia had 406 matriculants, and NYU had 450. It's hardly a great disparity.
