Perhaps the word "nothing" has in Heidegger's treatise a meaning entirely different from the customary one. And this presumption is further strengthened as we go on to read there that anxiety reveals the Nothing, that the Nothing itself is present as such in anxiety. For here the word "nothing" seems to refer to a certain emotional constitution, possibly of a religious sort, or something or other that underlies such emotions. If such were the case, then the mentioned logical errors.. would not be committed. But the first sentence of the quotation at the beginning of this section proves that this interpretation is not possible. The combination of "only" and "nothing else" shows un-mistakably that the word "nothing" here has the usual meaning of a logical particle that serves for the formulation of a negative existential statement. This introduction of the word "nothing" is then immediately followed by the leading question of the treatise: "What about this Nothing?".

Just got my VCE! Pretty much in shock. I had a grades request a few weeks ago, but otherwise I didn't feel like I had much of a shot. My letter was dated 2/21, and I live in the Deep South.

Y'all take care - there's hope if you haven't heard anything!

That would be totally fine if I had been admitted in at HYS thus far. But I'm rockin' a Hold at Harvard and a soft hold at Stanford.

Holy Fuck!! Accepted via snail mail. No idea when it was post-marked, because Im in Afghanistan and my mail is forwarded to my parents. They received it yesterday.

White dude, 3.8, 168, 3x Combat Vet, submitted September 19th and complete a few days later. I sent a LOCI about 2-3 weeks ago just for the hell of it. But I updated them on my 3rd deployment and new position that Im fulfilling.

Seriously, I never expected this. I thought I had more of a chance at Harvard and Stanford than I did at CLS.

Holy fuck. This just changed everything. No idea what to do now. Good problem to have. But

Wow! Thank you for the out-pouring of thanks and support! Best of luck everyone! And take note that I submitted a LOCI before being held or waitlisted. Just kind of out of the blue (but I did actually have updates to send). Not sure if it actually helped, but it obviously didnt hurt my chances!
