Hey guys, it's been a while since I've posted after getting put in the Reserve group. I just wanted to clarify, are there different waitlists at Columbia, or is it only Reserve? Sorry if this is lazy or if I should know this!

Just reserve.

Yup. Reserve is just Columbia's waitlist.

There was a big wave of January admits a week or two ago. However, I don't think too many URMs have heard back so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

THIS. I am sorry, FryBreadPower. Although, maybe Columbia is just being stingy with acceptances now because they over-enrolled last year. I can't imagine why you shouldn't be able to get in here regardless. A good LOCI might just do the trick if the committee doesn't manage to see sense on its own.

I am rooting for you!

I'm taking bets on what time hold emails go out today.

I'll put a bet on there being no holds today... Even if it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Yup. The past few times they have held people though, everyone (at least ITT) had identical timestamps. And I have nothing yet. Still hopeful.

Haha, I'm thinking more along the lines of ensue sighs of relief. Columbia has only been sending out one batch a day so it looks like we might just have survived through the weekend.

no, it's not necessary to check after that point
